“We are new to Androscoggin Animal Hospital since August 2024. We had heard wonderful things about this veterinary practice and decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, our Golden Retriever, Oliver, was diagnosed with cancer at his first visit. My husband and I decided based on the information and know our boy for 9.5 years, that the surgery would cause such stress for him, that it in its self would lower his quality of life. This decision was supported. Last week, it was time to let him go. The level of care, compassion, empathy, professionalism was the absolute highest we have ever experienced in our 30 years of owning pets. Oliver passed knowing that he was loved beyond measure, our special requests (music, water, his blanket, some crystals) were all respected and the time we needed and Oliver needed were the only thing that mattered. We will continue to go to this practice and highly recommend Androscoggin Animal Hospital.“
“This veterinary hospital is top-notch. The staff is highly professional, caring, and conscientious. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for exceptional service for their pets.“
“Our family had an emergency...a sad one...and they were able to see us, same day. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The veterinarian was so comforting and thoughtful. I was able to stay and say my goodbyes and the room was very sweet. Relaxing, soft music with a small waterfall and the picture on the wall was beautiful and I was able to take my time. I would have to say, this is a hard review to make, but our pets are family members too. Even though this sweet kitty was my mother-in-law's, and she couldn't be there, as she is elderly, everyone at this office was understanding and so nice during a sad time. I appreciate the time they gave me and how gentle they were with her and made her very comfortable. If your pet is in a medical need, or sadly...final stage, this place helped me say goodbye and were very comforting.“
“We were on vacation in Maine this summer (with our year old cat) and I noticed he was having trouble urinating. I know that this is a medical emergency for male cats, so I tried to find a vet (from our remote cottage on Small Point where phone/internet service isn't the greatest). The first vet I called in Bath was unable to help and suggested I take him to the emergency vet in Portland. I really didn't want to do that (I would have if it had ended up being the only option) and decided to make one more call to Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates. They were very kind and caring on the phone when I explained the situation, and squeezed us in for that day, an hour later! We took him in, and I was very impressed with how welcoming and compassionate all of the staff was! Even though we had to wait a while, which I completely understood, they got him right in and made decisions on how to proceed. When it looked like it was going to take even longer to get a urine sample and test results, the doctor, knowing we were on vacation, suggested that we leave and come back to pick him up at the end of the day. I can't say it enough, the doctor was incredibly kind and I knew that our cat was in the best hands he could possibly be in. They kept in touch with me throughout the day, and when we went back later that afternoon, the doctor had come up with a care plan for his urinary tract disease. The plan included prescription canned cat food, and they gave me what they had in stock. They had also given our cat fluids, which eventually "got things going" and he was able to urinate normally. We had no further issues I am so grateful for the care my cat received, at the last minute, from a veterinary office that he wasn't even a patient at! If we didn't live so far away, this would 100% be our regular vet. I can't recommend Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates enough, they care about every animal they see (while we were waiting I observed this over and over again as other clients came in to the office) and providing the best care possible. I would give 10 stars if that were an option!“

“Dr. Sarah and her entire staff were efficient, empathetic and caring for our dog Gumbo. Overall a great experience.“
“Wonder people, kind, friendly & above all knowledgeable. Have been taking my dogs here for over 33 years.“
“We had our kitten spayed there 2 weeks ago and it went flawlessly and her incision healed wonderfully. Definitely worth the drive, especially for the price! The only downside is that the tattoo they gave her fell out, but I don’t really care about that at all!“
