I do not live locally and while visiting the area I damaged my glasses frames. I showed up at Pro Vision in South Paris shortly before they closed. Both Lois and Patrick were super nice and Patrick managed to fix my glasses. I am so thankful for their kindness. I did not have spare glasses with me and would have been unable to drive (or do much else) had they not taken the time to do the repair. I highly recommend Pro Vision in South Paris. They had a great selection of frames, too.
This was our first time working with Rick of Foothills Flooring & Tile to purchase and have flooring installed. He was courteous, friendly and very patient with all our questions. He took his time explaining what he had to offer to meet our needs. Once we chose what we wanted, he ordered the flooring, which came in about two to three weeks, after which he set a date of installation and dispatched a couple of workers to install the flooring. They too were very pleasant and friendly, plus they worked expediently. When they were done, the finished product showed quality and meticulous work and just what we wanted. so my dad's furnace went Monday, he's 86 and I can't let him stay home alone to stoke the wood stove incase he loses his balance. Jim came right out, gave an awesome behond fair estimate and had the job done today! He and his crew were funny, respectful and kind. I moved to Maine by myself in 2022, and found Halls Pond with a 'yoga near me' google search. As someone who had never done yoga before, and didn't know anyone in town, I was so nervous the first time I drove to the studio. Katey is so easy going and down to earth that I immediately relaxed after meeting her. She genuinely loves and cares about the wide variety of people who come to her studio, and after finding out I was new in town, she would recommend me an event each week that I could go to and meet people if I wanted to. Thanks to her I discovered the Alan Day Community Garden, where I enjoy caring for my garden plot and "sneaking" into the greenhouse to eat fresh peas, and I discovered a community at the Lights Out Gallery where I've made some incredible friends and had the honor of helping Pamela Anne Moulton work on some incredible larger than life sculptures, with the help of my little dog. Katey taught me it doesn't matter if you can't do any of the poses. Yoga is about getting in touch with yourself and appreciating the body and mind you have. I recommend Halls Pond Healing Arts to anyone who is interested in yoga, new in town, old in town, wants to try something new, or would appreciate adding an hour of relaxation to their week. She really is the benchmark for yoga greatness!
