I had been happy with them for the last 4 years however, we recently had a dangerous situation with 1 of our pets and they were more worried about not putting our pet down humanely than they were the safety of our family. Shame on them, we have a young child in the home, and who knows when he would have turned on her. Needless to say, I will be looking for another vet. Thank God AWS in Kennebunk was quick to act/help us with this situation. They took our vets information as well as the rescue who refused to take the dog back.
They charge you so much money to do absolutely nothing. And then continue to charge you for services that you didn’t approve of. Your dog walks in and they look at him and it’s a “comprehensive exam” and that’s $60 bucks already out the door. All they care about is the money.
I am told that Dr. Linnell works there on Tuesdays now. If she does work there please clarify. I can't understand how any veterinary practice can accept a vet who took pain medicine out of the mouths of terminally ill and suffering animals. At the time she owned the practice, she billed insurance companies for medication not actually dispensed to my pet. Had I known she was going to start again I would have filed an AG complaint. Of course, the diversion of narcotics from my dying pet to her as detailed in my original evaluation was far worse, but perhaps there is high staff turnover because there have been multiple issues which are documented by the state. Dr. Linnell was sanctioned three times by the Board: for diverting narcotics from animals and filling syringe with saline or colored water and also giving the wrong dose of heartworm medicine to a dog, and was found guilty of negligence. She also used another's vets DEA number. Don't use her. She killed my cat with a slow painful death -- again see Maine Veterinary Board. Her problems extend nearly a decade but she is still allowed to practice---unbelievable.
