Norman is 85 and still working. Crazy. He's literally a living legend in Portland. He runs a no frills operation (as in, if you expect a finger of bourbon like you get at $60 joints, go elsewhere [or I dunno, bring a flask?]), but for $16, what the hell do you expect? Nice guy, easy chit chat, standard cut. I don't think I'd ask him to do color or frost tips or anything other than "just a trim," but hey, you do you, and if you *DO* go in asking to look like Bon Jovi circa 1990, please report back.
True old-school barber shop. Not many of them around any more. Norm gives excellent haircuts, only $10.00 if you're over 65. It's a step back in time. Not for everyone, but if you're a guy looking for a good basic haircut (and/or a shave) it would be hard to do better, especially for the price.
This barber shop is a step back in time, right down to the jar of Barbicide. $10- haircuts for seniors. Not for everyone, but I love this barber shop for the nostalgia it induces, and the haircuts are good too!
