“Rating on the basis of just having a stray scanned. Very clean, but hard to get a person on the phone. When we left, unfortunately we saw a deceased cat in the road practically right in front of the building, so we called to tell them. We were busy driving and trying to comfort our stray kitten. They responded with " call animal control". We had to respond with, "Can you? We aren't sure where we are and we've got an upset kitten in the car. This was after 3 calls, and we knew they were there and had 0 customers there. They were just letting the automated machine answer. It was 2:10, their lunch hour ended at 2:00. Didn't think that was cool? And they are pricey. But that was just one experience, I gave them 4 stars because of benefit of the doubt.“

“Dr. Laura and Amy, the vet-tech who dealt with Luca, were very caring and skilled in dealing with not only Luca, our anxious rescue Lab, but also me with my concerns and questions about his various issues and symptoms surrounding his Kennel Cough. Dr. Laura is always very thorough and informative regarding his care. Dr. Moffat, who has treated previous pets of ours, has also been very informative and compassionate, having come to our home to euthanize them when we needed that personal care provided. He's always gone the extra mile. My only concern regarding Kittery Animal Hospital is that on their receipt for services they do not automatically include detailed information about the reason for the visit, the diagnosis, and the treatment. I generally have to ask for these "soap notes" before and after a visit because they are required by Luca's pet insurance when submitting a claim. It's also helpful to have this written information, itemizing what was discussed with the Vet as part of my dog's medical record. So, it's basically a matter of providing a more inclusive, detailed form at checkout.“

“This is the most incredible place for my bunnies Sherlock and Watson! Dr. Hale and the ENTIRE staff are so incredibly kind... to both furry friends and humans alike! I'm so thankful to them all for fitting us in a few months ago for emergency care when Watson needed help and no one was able to see him in my area (my regular vet had been away). Dr. Hale also performed surgery on Watson, and I've just brought both buns in for a regular checkup and a desperately needed nail trim for Sherlock!
I have to drive quite a long distance (almost 3 hours round trip) to get to Greenland, but it is absolutely worth the drive! Thank you ALL for your kindness and top notch care...we'll continue making the trip! Absolutely worth it!!!“

“Another shout out to Sagamore Animal Hospital! Not only for the wonderful care of our pups, but for the excellent Customer Service from the Front Office and the Docs. This past week we needed health reports for boarding our dogs out of state. The boarding facility kept asking for records in different formats, updated in a certain fashion, etc. I felt badly asking Sagamore multiple times in multiple emails but they responded immediately and professionally with all our requests. Great animal care and Great customer service - can’t beat it, and Thank You Sagamore Team.“

“My 18 year old cat, Lily, was having urinary issues. I called before they opened and promptly got a call back right after 8am. The staff and doctor couldn't be any nicer. Dr. Wyand even used a white board to explain Lily's condition. After an injection of antibiotic and pain meds to take home, we were on our way. Lily had hopped back in her carrier and the tech that gave her the shot even made it a point to take her out of the carrier so she wouldn't associate the shot with the carrier. How thoughtful is that! I've been using their services for years and won't ever change vets.“

“We took my appy Spud down for ongoing foot problems. He just kept getting abscesses. He has been nerved and there has just been no real soundness. We resorted to glue on shoes because of white line that was destroying his hoof wall. They took additional films, reviewed all of his prior records and it was determined that he has pedal osteitis. A farrier put klogg shoes on and doxy was prescribed. He is comfortable, and although I know we have a long road ahead of us, I know we'll get there. He is going back down in May for another set of shoes and xrays. To think this all started with a stick going up through his coffin bone in 2018. Thank you Dr Davis and your team for making my boy feel better.“

“These folks took incredible care of my cherished senior cat when he got sick and was ultimately diagnosed with cancer. Urgent care and specialist care...plus understanding and love...for years.

Today I took another cat to them. A feral rescue that has been with me for 5 yrs. This gal had a nasty eye infection. I was lucky to be able handle her enough to get her in to this hospital. And I can't say more about how awesome this team did. From front desk to doctor. They all did so much to accommodate my cat's special needs...the vet performed most of the exam and treatment on the floor, so as to make my cat most comfortable. I wish this vet could be our GP.

They checked on him to see if he was OK. How was the medication? Was there any more issues? “I have been taking my cat Alex to this vet clinic for six years and have had nothing but good, thorough compassionate care for my cat. The staff there have been friendly and supportive, from the front end all the way back. We have been mostly seeing Dr. Davis. She’s an excellent communicator, a warm care provider and I would highly recommend anyone taking their cat to be under her care. Today I had to put Alex down. I worked for three years as a hospice nurse. I have experience with compassionate care for the patient and the caregivers. Today, Dr. Davis and her staff gave us both the best care.“
