I've never had my hair done professionally and Kim made me feel comfortable and anxiety free the entire time. She's extremely passionate and knowledgeable about everything she does, I learned more in the 3 hours that she gracefully worked on my hair, than I have my whole life about proper haircare. I trusted her and she gave me exactly what I asked for. I'm so happy I made an appointment with her and I look forward to going back and having somebody with great knowledge and advice to keep my hair healthy because it feels soooo good.

The best place in the area (and probably all of Maine) for your beauty needs. Love, love, love the staff and somehow I walk in looking like a troll and walk out looking like a movie star! True magicians!

The salon sits in a great spot downtown, and the view of the Penobscot from the back window is superb. The salon is pretty, and the shampoo sink and cutting chair are comfortable. Kim is friendly and helpful. I have curly hair and am only recently embracing it instead of straightening. Kim is knowledgeable about the chemistry of hair and gave me tips about pH balance, moisturizing, and avoiding gimicky marketing ploys. I may look for a salon specifically focused on curls still, because I need more help with methods and cut, but I was happy with Kim's cut, and the price of $25 just can't be beat!
