I have been taking my 2 dogs to Dr. Remington for 7 years now. The staff is always professional and polite. Dr. Remington is ALWAYS so good to my dogs and me. She treats us like we're family. On more than one occasion, she has returned my call after business hours. You certainly don't get that from many veterinarians. She's always willing to listen, and then advise on the best plan of care. She is practical and conservative, which I really appreciate. She is very knowledgable. In defense of this very busy practice: I see some negative reviews concerning not taking new clients, not having emergency apts. available and long waits for an apt. Dr. Richie has retired and they have been months trying to find a replacement vet to join the practice. They are booked up solid every day and there are only so many overtime hours a vet can work. Other vets are busy, too, and it is hard to find one still taking new clients. There is a shortage of vets in Maine and no one to take up the slack. I've been their client for over 15 years and I've always had the very best of care for my cats from all the vets and techs there. Personally, my phone conversations... read full review

I called other veterinary hospitals and they refused to help. I walked in here with a little 5lb dog I had almost hit in a rain storm. He was shaking and we were both soaked. I just needed help finding his owners and he was not chipped but they had animal control find them and follow up with me. Thank you!!
