“So far so good. Today I visited this salon for the first time. I was greeted as soon as I came in and assisted promptly. The salon is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I only get regular non toxic polish on my nails and I bring my own base coat, polish, and top coat. Today I came to rectify something another salon did incorrect. I gave dipping powder a try and was not satisfied at a different location. However the gentleman who assisted me today made sure he listened to my wants and needs as it pertained to my natural nails. My nails look healthy as they should and I simply got a clear coat today. I will be returning in about 2 weeks to get a pedicure and another manicure. I will likely remain a customer here.“

“Update: I tried this salon again and had another amazing experience. V is so talented. I showed her a pick from the internet and she was able to hand paint the same design. Absolutely amazing!Lee's nails is a quaint little shop filled with big talent. Don't let its unassuming nature fool you. V used 3 different colors of dip powder and hand-painted the design on my nails. Her craftsmanship and attention to detail are outstanding. They work by appointment only so they don't rush you just because someone walked in the door. I can't tell you the last time that I left a salon without some kind of buyers remorse about the money I just spent..... until I went to Lee's. I am 100% satisfied with their outstanding work! I will definitely be back. Artists like this are hard to find!!!!! They also have great prices.“

“Debbie gave me a lifechanging haircut. Seriously. I was freshly divorced and ready to do something kinda crazy. I have curly hair and wanted to do a s*** with bangs. It is not an easy cut to pull off. Debbie took the challenge on. She even offered to let me come back in anytime if I wanted tweaks, since it was her first time working on my hair and she wasn't quite sure how it would fall day to day. I took her up on that about two weeks later and she graciously reshaped it to perfection. Out in the world, this new haircut has changed the way people see me and is just SO MUCH FUN. I'm so grateful to her for making sure I loved it and that it was just right. I also loved that she pivoted in the middle of our color and said, "you know what, I don't quite like this, we're going to tone it." I appreciated that. I felt like she was really working with me. And sitting in her chair is fun! She's good company. I will definitely be going to see her again. It's a splurge, no doubt, but one that I found to be totally worth it if you can swing it.“

I cannot say enough good things about Nakia, my nails, or my experience!I was just telling a girlfriend the other day about how getting your nails, hair, etc. done is always such a pain in the a**, it’s never a truly relaxing experience or environment and finding a new salon is always a daunting process. I recently moved to the area and decided to stop driving back to my usual place and give Polished Nail & Skin Care Boutique a try. And let me tell you, I’m SO glad I did. “Bernadette is a miracle worker and a lovely person. I’m so glad that Bernadette opened Refresh Nail Bar here in Columbia. My pedicure was absolutely amazing, and my feet felt brand new. “I’ve been here a couple times now and got my nails done by Mini today. It was a great experience! You can tell she is highly skilled and very efficient - I got dip removal, tips, and dip powder in no time. You can tell Mini loves her job, she is extremely attentive to her clients and very meticulous with her work. I made an appointment and when I got there, I was seated right away which sadly doesn’t happen at many salons in Columbia/Ellicott City so I am really grateful to have found a place like this. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes here - even as a walk-in. The salon is bright and airy, clean, there’s a big screen tv with captioning (I watched the show 9-1-1 lol), and a pretty awesome r&b and pop playlist in the background. And I noticed some sterilization equipment which I was happy to see. There’s lots of overflow parking so no worries about looking for a spot either. So today I got French ombré dip powder nails, and they turned out so lovely! I am super happy with them! Thank you so much!“
