MedStar Health: Physical Therapy at Westminster

I received my replacement knee on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, and had my first MedStar Health Physical Therapy (PT) session on Friday. In total, I participated in twenty (20) PT sessions. As with a typical new knee, I had limited knee movement on PT Day 1. Zoey Packard and her PT Team worked with me from PT Day 1 through PT Day 20. I went from hobbling. and required the use of a walker on PT Day 1 to becoming a free walker by PT Day 20. PT Day 20 I had reached our joint-objective of a 127-degree knee bend, 0-degree knee flex, and reached my personal goal to ride 1-mile in less than 6-minutes on the stationary "warm-up" bike. I have dealt with Med Star Physical Therapy in Westminster,MD for my rehabilitation after shoulder surgery,these therapists are very professional,they are very good at what they do.I have worked with several of them,they have a great team,I have not seen any where come close to their care for me and kindness of their personalities,you are important to them in recovery.Their whole staff is above and beyond what I expected.I will not go any where else for therapy .I can't say enough how great they are,Mark,Hillary,Lindsey,and Becky just to name a few,wonderful people

MedStar Health: Physical Therapy at Westminster arranged for me to have an appointment prior to my scheduled hip replacement surgery. My therapist was most helpful in explaining what to expect after surgery and demonstrated various exercises to help my with my recovery. Overall, it was a very thorough experience that helped to ease some of the anxiety I was facing along with the assurance they would be available to assist with any questions or additional physical therapy should it be necessary.My therapist was knowledgeable, professional and above all, very pleasant and made me feel immediately comfortable.
