Richard Blacksten and his wife had me crazy with desire to buy something, anything, from them. They are so charming, so friendly, so knowledgeable that I wanted some little part of the Relics - even though I had absolutely no need for anything in there. Relics is not so much architectural salvage as it is wood. Wood, old wood, raw wood, live edge wood, exotic wood, wood from homes built in the 1700's, bricks from buildings that are a part of the history of the State of Maryland, doors of every size and shape - even a casket handmade by Mr. Blacksten himself. We purchased this lovely cornice from Relics with the vision of our mantle in our new home. We chose to let it show its age and beauty. We love the contrast against the new tile. It is becoming a conversation piece. Highly recommend Relics. You never know what gem you will take home. Linda and Brad.
