I had the awesome pleasure of giving this spot a try based on a recommendation. I heard from a good friend of mine that one of the male stylists here is known to be an excellent colorist and also happens to be quite the barber. Say werrrrd?!?! As you may have seen in some of my previous reviews, I am on the hunt for a consistent barber that actually knows how to cut my African American hair without slicing my head up like a thanksgiving turkey. Enter Charles and his expertise on knowing how to cut AA hair well. One of the things I truly appreciated was his product offerings were wide and varied. I, being the person I am, always have questions about products trying to learn how things work. He had answers and suggestions for everything. His knowledge on hair and how different hair reacts to different treatments/ products was very impressive. On to the cut... I ended up getting a temple taper and Charles’ blending ability is exactly what I’ve been missing lately from barbers .He cuts with short strokes where needed and long pulls where needed. This man definitely knows how to cut a head of hair. I can only imagine what a pleasure it must be to get him as a colorist - since THAT is his specialization. I will gladly follow Charles wherever he is cutting... I’ll be back. SCORE!!!
