Very frustrating experience. Dropped off a dress that was stained with dust and a bit of coconut oil at the neckline, hemline, and sleeves. When I picked it up, the stains had seemingly migrated to the back and shoulders. It looks as though they applied cleaner, the stains dissolved, and then coalesced in different areas. Clear indications of twisting/spinning and bleeding from either the stains or another garment. Refused to own up to the fact that they had ruined the dress. I realized not everything can be clean, and I did pay for their efforts. But they 1) did not indicate that the dress would be a challenge, 2) offered no apology, and 3) even tried to blame my wife.

I got married 30 years ago this June and while I was on my honeymoon, my mother took my silk and lace wedding dress, veil and headpiece to be cleaned and preserved at Athens. The box has been at my Mom's house all this time and I just found it when clearing out her closets after she passed away. My daughter wanted to open it to see. My husband was sure that after 30 years, it would be a mess. The dress was perfect! It was clean and bright. The veil and headpiece were also pristine and perfect. It was set on a form and stuffed with acid free tissue paper and wired in place with very long twist ties. Hermetically sealed and double boxed. Very impressed. I took my satin bridesmaid dress to this cleaners after a friend recommended them. Dropped it off for alterations and picked it up 2.5 weeks later. When arriving home and trying it on, there was stains everywhere on my dress. When taking it back the next morning I was basically told to deal with it, it is from the white chalk they draw on the dress to do the alterations…. But the stains are now black. The older male proceeds to yell and be very unprofessional to his PAYING customer basically stating there is nothing to be done after they ruined it.
