“I started training at Barro Vermelho 8 years ago after moving to DC. I had done a few years of capoeira regional before. I looked around and tried classes at a couple of places, but ultimately chose BV because of the great community. Friendly students, and a very open, non-hierarchical or stand-offish group. Mestre Bomba is very accessible, and easy to talk to. Also very relaxed compared to some capoeira mestres out there.If you're looking for a great workout, with community and self defense, this is it.“
