I’m very glad I found New Life. Master Paul has become like family. I trust him with my child. He works very hard. He is consistent and thorough. He is strong and a great role model. His employees are former students which attests to his ability to teach responsibility, and prove his method is teaching. I cant say enough kind things about Master Paul.“

3001 Sherman Ave NW, Washington“I started training at Barro Vermelho 8 years ago after moving to DC. I had done a few years of capoeira regional before. I looked around and tried classes at a couple of places, but ultimately chose BV because of the great community. Friendly students, and a very open, non-hierarchical or stand-offish group. Mestre Bomba is very accessible, and easy to talk to. Also very relaxed compared to some capoeira mestres out there. If you're looking for a great workout, with community and self defense, this is it.“

18 Roth St, Alexandria“Josh Sensei is a passionate and knowledgeable instructor. With a keen eye for detail and a drive for progression, you will be in the same good hands that I have been in since the middle of 2019. Between the training atmosphere and the various dojo get togethers, outside of COVID-19 times of course, Josh Sensei has bolstered a welcoming atmosphere that anyone willing to come in and dedicate the time to training should enjoy their stay. On top of this, he is willing to go out of his way to answer questions both inside and out of class and has even provided extra trainings at the sole cost of his time on special occasions. Come prepared to learn and work hard as those efforts will yield gains in yourself that you have yet to know as the value of the training provided is well worth the cost.“

3650 S Glebe Rd # 190, Arlington“I will never forget how I felt before I walked into this Dojo. I was frustrated with so many things school related when it came to my child. I remember going into the dojo and it didn’t matter that Sensai Jonathan was closed and cleaning the dojo. The door was open.He felt my energy, and sat and listened to my concerns. This was my first sign that support is all around me. He offered a free lesson to my child and then I had my whole family of 4 join.Sensai Jonathan has been a true blessing by being an amazing mentor and Sensai to my children. He listens to their crazy stories and never makes them feel weird for asking any questions. Also, he has a set demeanor and tone no matter how my son tries to push the sound boundaries. He shows them the importance of meditation, self control, discipline, and he encourages them when they do not feel like they can.All my children have the utmost respect for him, Kempo, and the Dojo.If you are in the National Landing area and looking for an extra layer of support, I highly recommend Potomac Kempo National Landing.“

1041 S Edgewood St, Arlington“I've been training at Pentagon MMA for a couple years, and I can confidently say it's one of the best decisions I've made for my fitness and martial arts journey. All of the coaches are highly skilled, patient, and genuinely invested in your progress, no matter your experience level. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced practitioner, there's always something new to learn. The environment is incredibly supportive and welcoming. The gym has multiple programs, such as Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Little Warriors. There are also different formats for instruction, such as group classes, private lessons, and online material - all designed to challenge and push students to improve their skills. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you need for a great workout. Everyone is friendly, encouraging, and respectful, making it easier to stay motivated. Pentagon MMA offers classes in the early morning, afternoon, and evening, allowing students to train at almost any time that works best. Kru Vivek and the entire staff do a fantastic job of finding new ways to keep students engaged by hosting seminars, scrimmages, smoker matches, and bringing in decorated instructors, such as Kru Jom Kitti to impart their knowledge. Not all martial arts facilities offer this many opportunities, which is part of what makes this place special. I encourage anyone in the area looking for a place to train to come check it out! You won't be disappointed.“
“This was awesome!! Evy was a super cool teacher. I took the beginners class for the first time and she explained everything very well and came around to make sure my form and technique was correct. I didn't realize it would be such a workout but it was a lot of fun. Stuck around to watch the advanced class too and Evy taught both and that was cool to watch (on a whole different level than beginners haha)“
