I had Brian come out last year to do some landscape cleanup and maintenance, and to give me some suggestions for native plants. After a day of work, the yard looked great, and I had a plan for my natives. In addition, his team dug up some of the bushes and ragwort in the front, as part of the 'haircut' my husband had requested, and transplanted them to the back, to add some color and ground cover. I asked Brian to come back last month for another cleanup, and to see how my native plants were doing. He had his team dig up some more of the ragwort, which was spreading like crazy, and moved them to the back. Our front yard looks manicured, but not formal, and I am very happy with the work Yard by Yard does.
Danny and Allen from Durance Plumbing have been extremely reliable, very knowledgeable, prompt, communicative, and reasonably priced. I have hired Durance Plumbing on two separate occasions with plumbing projects at my house and both times I have been very pleased with their work product. I am planning to use them for more house projects in the next month. I have used numerous plumbers, and rarely if ever do I make a second appointment with them. Great barbers, interesting conversations and all types of characters. They do take walk-ins but I'd highly recommend calling for an appointment. Their prices are decent as well. You won't break your pockets like at these new spots in DC.

Only thing is they do not offer same day cleaning and that is because so many people drop off their clothes to be cleaned because they do an amazing job! Fantasy nail definitely surprised me! I'm in town for a week and i needed to get a set done before a trip. I haven't had my nails done in years so this was a big move for me. Pros: quality work at a good price. Loved my set and it was only $75! Especially for an airbrush style. let's see how long it lasts. There was a lot of space and chair for services. Equipment looked up to date and well kept. Cons: I waited a bit (maybe 30 mins) before i got in a chair. I was a walk-in so it could have been worse. The nail tech, Peter, was accommodating whenever I had a critique. He nicked me once but it wasn't too bad. Overall a good experience and I would come back.

Took my Macbook Pro for a new battery during COVID and it was done in a couple hours. 2 years later, I think my charging port is shot, or the charger, or both. I'm on a deadline but I'm not freaking out because I know these guys are right around the corner and will come to my rescue in a pinch once again. Oh, and they are very reasonably priced!
