I was denied a prescription a month after I got the first one filled. I'm so frustrated at the level of care I received and bad customer service. I feel like I have to practically beg for meds monthly. I made the decision to look for other carriers after this last issue.
First And Foremost I just wanna say my experience with DR. JESSICA UBANYIONWU Is Amazing! If you are seeing an OBGYN def choose her. I had another OB that was terrible and when I made the switch to her I never looked back. My Entire pregnancy was amazing and she treated me with respect and she was very caring and kind. I appreciate her more than she knows bc the other woman was terrible and I mean horrible.
I see that the Marlow Heights Facility has had some bad reviews, which is very surprising to me because I like this facility the best. I have never had a bad experience. They aren't as congested as Camp Springs & Largo & the pharmacy wait isn't as ridiculous as Largo. I've been with Kaiser for most of my adult life and before then & I'm 53 now. I've had the same great OBGYN for about 20 years. I like the convenience of having multiple docs in one place so I don't have to have them spread all over town...pharmacy included! I don't think that they are any better or worse than anyone else because there is no such thing as perfect anything or anyone. Also, I think that it is the caliber of people that are in these positions that either make a facility look good or bad. Some people need to be trained, some need to be reprimanded & some just need to be fired. However, all of the right people with the right attitudes, right bedside manner & best intentions can still fall short. It also doesn't help a situation if you go to a facility with an attitude & rudeness as some patients do. On either side of the spectrum, you never know what someone is going through, therefore we all should take a breath & work with each other in a better way. Also, patients need to learn to advocate for themselves...those that can or have someone advocate for them. I don't like when my PCP changes either, but I will see the next one assigned & if we don't mesh, I switch physicians until I get one that I like. If I have an issue with someone or something that I feel should be addressed, I contact Member Services. If I don't feel satisfied with information or treatment given by a doctor, I will go back as needed or seek out a 2nd opinion. I don't pay all this money for insurance for nothing...I pay for them to work to assist me in my health! My husband wants to change to another insurance, but why...to pay more premiums or deductibles...to be covered less, to have to find "good" doctors that are all over the place, then go to a separate pharmacy? Naaah, not me! I prefer to stick with Kaiser...and what is broken can be fixed. There are worse doctors, nurses, pharmacies, staff & experiences out there but if you have facilities that truly don't care then of course nothing will change or get better. If the organization cares, they will work to make things better & if they don't, then it is up to us, the consumers that pay to force them to do better. In the end, we all need to work with each other as with anything else to make things better.
