This place is ok. went i went their it smelled like something died in there. the braiders were all late, and the owner was on the phone the whole time making doctors appt. i got my hair done i called and showed them what type of hair i wanted to use when the braider got their she said i had the wrong hair. so i ended up giving them the hair for a discount which i did get but i just felt like this place was nasty and the owner should more concern for what was happening with her guest than the cleanliness of her shop. but my style came out cute

Went here on a Saturday to get my hair braided. First off this place is super raggedy and in dire need of some renovations but I guess this is just the culture of the African Braid shops because most of them seem to be very run down but this one was one of the worst I've been in. When I got there at 11:30 on a Saturday morning I was told they did not have any #1 color braiding hair now anyone who deals with hair knows #1 is just your basic jet black hair. This had me really irritated because how does an establishment that braids hair not have the most basic color in stock on a day that they know will be the most busy day. One of the Braiders had to leave and go get some hair and I had to wait. The whole process was VERY slow I was told it would take 5 hours but I ended up being there for 9 hours. I had to cancel all my plans and didn't leave the shop until after 8:30. My hair although painful did come out nice though. I was charged $180 which I thought was pricey since the girl next to me got the same hairstyle but hers were much much smaller and was only charged $200. But I paid it without complaint because my hair did come out nice.
