Post 41 certainly lives up to it's claim to be "The Friendliest Post in Maryland." It is run and frequented by friendly, down-to-earth people who enjoy seeing each other over good, affordable food and drinks. The Post hosts live music on weekends and does a lot of good in the community, sponsoring Cub Scouts, baseball teams, etc. It's not the busiest or flashiest place in downtown Silver Spring, but definitely a hidden gem.
Comfortable room for events but is outdated. There is a small bar and kitchen upstairs. Did not see downstairs. There is no handicap access to the upstairs, no elevator. Parking is good.
So I met these two lovely ladies earlier at Linda's in Silver Spring who told me about a DC Blues Society event at AL Post 41. So my are and I went there after dinner and we had a great time! Great music and friendly folk! Drinks were very reasonably priced. We danced the night away and were glad to support Post 41!
