“I have previous Krav Maga experience from another gym and was looking to transition to a gym that aligned more with my values and beliefs. I attended several upper level classes at Watchdog, as well as the cardio kickboxing classes and definitely enjoyed them. Those cardio kickboxing classes were super challenging and fun. The upper level classes were great as well, though I noticed minute differences in the Watchdog techniques than what I'd previously learned. I liked the Watchdog take on things, but had a hard time transitioning my style after having slightly different training for so long. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed the martial arts classes, and the instructors were as nice and welcoming as they were experts in the discipline. It reminded me of better times at my past gym, and I felt good whenever I was at Watchdog. Alas, by the time I signed up with Watchdog, I was burned out on the discipline, and I ended up canceling my contract. However, if I ever get the urge to do Krav again, Watchdog is where I will go. Definitely recommend.“
“Our son attends the after school program at Parks and we have had a great experience. They even offer day care on days when school is closed. My son enjoys going and has made great friends there. He enjoys the martial arts classes and looks forward to gaining higher belts. The staff is friendly, organized, and communicates well with parents. 100% recommend.“
“This place is a wonderful organization to build character and skill. Well run. We highly recommend.“
“We were a family at the Glen Burnie location. My son expressed interest in karate, so I signed him up since it was the most local option with the most flexible schedule. The instructors were always attentive and structured. You could tell that they truly focused on each student individually when it came to little things, no matter how many children where present. When our time came to an end, cancelation wasn't a haggle deal or several hoops to jump over. I wish that we could have continued our journey, but I sincerely wish them all the best. If they ever continue locally, I will not hesitate to rejoin.“
“We started this journey as a place for my son to try out martial arts. Now Al,ost the whole family trains here. Amazing instruction in such a caring community! What a treasure in Frederick Rd.“
“The place is so much fun I do lion dancing and kung Fu. going everywhere for lion dances is the best you get to see and taste many new things while making other people happy.Highly recommend if you’re being bullied or just want to learn self defense.“
“Amazing place with great trainers. Family oriented atmosphere and seeing great gains!!! Come join the family!“
“Xtreme Mpact has become part of our family. My children enjoy karate, sparring, and tournaments. Mr. Macon is excellent, and the kids adore him. Mine do after-school care and summer camp. Highly recommend this business.“
“Amazing people. Took my daughter when she was younger. She loved it. Training was on point and she learned life skills to last a lifetime. Thank you for those wonderful memories.“
“My 2 kids (6&4) started a month ago and I’m blown away by how well Master K teaches the class. He commands their attention while still making it fun! Every skill/move they learn, they go right home and practice and are always excited to show up. A bonus for my family is that the class is an almost equal mix of both boys & girls so my daughter doesn’t feel like it’s a boy sport. Highly recommend!!“
“My children are having the best time learning at Arbutus Martial Arts. The teachers and environment are down to earth and family oriented. Firm but patient. I would recommend to anyone who doesn't need fancy but does want competent teachers in a welcoming environment.“
“My Son has been attending Alpha for almost a year now. Mostly all of the instructors are AWESOME! We’ve never had any real issues. I enjoy the class sizes, not to small not to big. They do follow the school systems schedule like most places and has after care for locals. Pricing is fair as well.“
“We love Kick Xplosion! Master Curtis is an amazing role model - my daughter has not only learned the art of Taekwondo, but discipline and character building that will help her in all areas of life. I can't recommend this place enough after seeing the difference and positive influence it has had on my own child. Attitude is everything!“
“Modern kinesiology has only just scratched the surface of the depth and wealth of information that this art provides. When I started I could neither breathe nor strike properly. Now having trained for a couple years my physiology is changing for the better, impacting all areas of my life. Dont be fooled by the humble appearance of this school. Shifu Hatza is knowledgeable and attentive, and teaches the art with a strong emphasis on pragmatic self defense.“
“This gym gave me an amazing experience. Great coaches and staff. And also kid friendly!“
“I found Integrity Martial Arts here on Google and Decided to sign my kids up and I don’t regret making this decision at all. My 11 yr old daughter and 8yr old son have gained so much confidence and learned so much and a short period of time. My son improved his grades and is now more confident of him self then ever. He’s learned in Integrity that if he wants something and works hard for it he will get it. Thank you Integrity Martial Arts ?,Mr. Frost and all the wonderful instructors who have become family.“
“My son has been training at Synergy Dojang for over two year now, and I couldn't be happier with his experience. The instructor, Ms Lacy, is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about teaching Tang Soo Do. The classes are well-structured, challenging yet accessible to all skill levels. The sense of community here is amazing; his fellow students are supportive and encouraging. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, Synergy Dojang is a fantastic place to learn and grow in the art of Tang Soo Do.“
“This gym is amazing and has changed my life. Everyone is so polite and welcoming from the front desk to the coaches. I mainly attend the jiujitsu classes and have felt a difference both in my body and my mindset. Each month the class focuses on a position and what can be done in that position. It is hard work but if you put in the hard work it is really rewarding. All of these bad reviews seem unwarranted because they focus on individuals who seemingly try to break contracts. Contracts exist for a reason. If you are even slightly interested I would highly recommend attending. They also have classes for children. When my little one is old enough I hope to enroll him as well. The other day I was watching the advanced adult jiujitsu class and there was a moment the children's class came into the same area to get water. All of the advanced class stopped and clapped for a kid who had gotten a new belt. An mma coach was also making small talk with all the kids and you could tell how encouraged the kids felt. If you are patient, like to work hard and are a consistent person, join. If you are not sure, try their free trial. If you are wishy washy (which is fine if that works for you) then this gym probably is not for you. I have seen people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and experience levels in this gym. They all leave class with a smile on their face. Also shoutout to coach Chris and coach Southside!“
“I’m so grateful I found Warrior of Grace Karate for my 10 year old son. The instructors were nice, and friendly. My son felt very welcome and warm as soon as we came in. We are excited to be apart of the warriors for grace family. Call them today and try a free class. I promise you will not regret it!“
