About Baltimore Humane Society
The Baltimore Humane Society is an independent non-profit animal shelter that offers services for all stages of pet ownership. The organization works hard to help homeless animals find necessary medical treatment, behavioral training, and ultimately, a loving forever home. They have adoption programs with reduced fees for senior animals, senior citizens, first responders, and military personnel. Their vet clinic provides free and low-cost spay/neuter, vaccination, and wellness services to the public. The memorial park offers end-of-life options for beloved pets as well as bereavement support. The staff is described as friendly, professional, and amazing, providing compassionate care and going above and beyond. They ensure that both pets and owners are comfortable and happy, offering continued assistance if needed. Many families have praised the knowledgeable and helpful volunteers who guide them through the adoption process, making the transition smooth and reassuring. This shelter is also noted for its affordable care, making it a great choice for pet owners seeking quality services at reasonable prices.
I recently adopted a cat there and it was such a pleasant experience. Everybody there was really nice and handled the animals with such great care. I couldn’t be happier with my new best friend Tadpole (aka Girlie Pop)
I recently had my 6 month old Lab spayed here. I was extremely impressed with the appearance of the facilities. The staff were professional and friendly. The care my dog got had to be superior because there has been NO pain and she is eating, drinking and going potty like nothing was wrong. I would, and have, recommended BHS to everyone. I, also, donated my dogs small collar, small harness and medium harness .
their friendliness and clean facilities. the staff is so happy when one of their animals get adopted.
