“Abby is a very anxious 12 year old Beagle mix who has been seeing Dr. Ruth on most visits. She is always very thorough in her exams and conscientious about Abby's anxiety. The vet tech Michael was friendly and gentle with Abby as well. I have never in 12 years had a bad experience at Veterinary Housecall Service. Keep up the great work!!“

Dr. Buchanan is an angel - we are trying to stick with her only because my geriatric kitty (17.5yo) is starting to show signs of his age and we need that continuity of care now. But prior to this I have been willing to see any doctor. Again, we have been coming here for almost 40 years I've never had a doc i didn't like or didn't trust.

“I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Anthony Lisankis and his team. My senior dog’s eye was removed because of a tumor mass. When I called and explained to his staff about my concern for my Chessie’s eye we were seen that same day and because it was necessary to be expedient his eye was removed the following week. Dr. Lisankis is so kind and caring, keeping me up to date every step of the way and so helpful with all the scans and prep needed to expedite this surgery.

“Really professional and easy process. Kept me in the loop while my 5lb dog was spayed, which helped ease my anxiety. I dropped her off at 7:30am and was out the door with her by noon. They provide really clear and attentive post-op instructions, and she’s healed really nicely since the operation.

“My Khaos had been very sick for awhile, I was dreading having to put him down and thought he would've gotten better... he did not. I caved and made an appointment with Severn River Animal Hospital. I wanted honesty, not a place that would make empty promises and take my money. After a brief exam, I was given 2 options; euthanasia or try somethings that didn't guarantee him living for a long period of time. I said i just want him to be at peace and not sick anymore. I thank them for their honesty and allowing me to spend time with my boy before and after the process. This was a first for me. I had him cremated and received his remains by the end of the week. “Updating this review. The staff and management reached out. As mentioned before I was late, but upset due to the inflexible nature of the situation. They have been understanding and discussed their challenges in detail. I have (probably exhaustively) explained my issues with some of their procedures. But I am happy with the adjustments made and appreciate the staffs efforts. So am adjusting my review.

Been a client of this vet office for nearly 30 years. Since the new leadership has taken over, the personal care has been dramatically reduced. After trying to get a allergy treatment for my dog for months and trying to get them to order it. On the day to pick up the meds and be instructed on the meds use I was 16 minutes late due to traffic. Was called as I parked that they canceled my appointment and I shouldn't bother walking in.“
