I’d done years of weight lifting but was seriously lacking in functional strength. Rick started me with the basics, and as I progressed, he would switch it up and have me do everything from weight lifting essentials (barbell back squats, deadlifts, rows, etc.) to calisthenics (bodyweight, gymnastics-inspired exercises like handstands and pistol squats) to Crossfit style workouts. If I couldn't get something the first time, he'd offer modified exercises to work into it. It always kept me on my toes, challenged my fitness, and made it fun. I'm easily the strongest I've ever been in my life and learned a lot of effective new exercises during our sessions.
