“I started at Musa 18 months ago and classes have always been the highlight of my week. Most of the students are children and teenagers, but I was pleased to find that Musa welcomes adult students as well. The master instructor is also the owner and one of the nicest people I've ever met. There is a deep roster of master-rank students who consistently help instruct classes, which are always rigorous and challenging. Discipline and respect are highly valued and modeled at all times. It's an ideal martial arts experience, especially for kids who would benefit from a structured, positive environment. They also offer childcare services on school closure days and have a fantastic summer camp program with daily field trips, which my children love.“
“Excellent program. Master Cho is a one of a kind instructor. This is truly a special place.“
“The best school, Master Choi it's the best, I can't say enough about this school, one day I will go back, Thank so much Master Choi for your great work you did for me and the rest of everyone.“
“We have been with Kicks Karate for three years now. We love the spirit of the team there, supporting every child in the best possible way. It has been a lifeline for our kid in Pandemic times!“
“My 7 year old son enjoys it very much, Master Kim is very patient and very kind with children. He has learned a lot, I recommend him 100%“
“The master of this studio is one of the most present people I have ever met. He manages, leads, and inspires a diverse and ever-changing student body with patience and insight, working with five year olds and fifty year olds with the same intensity, respect, and humor. It's an honor and privilege to be able to train here. The training pushes me to my limits and is incredibly rewarding.“
“Our experience with Kicks Karate was nothing short of fantastic. Our daughter Rose loved every moment of her time there. The instructors were not only skilled but also incredibly supportive, creating an environment that blended learning with fun.Unfortunately, we recently moved to another city, and our daughter is truly saddened that she can't continue her karate classes at Kicks Karate. The positive atmosphere, excellent instruction, and sense of community made it a second home for her.We highly recommend Kicks Karate to anyone seeking quality martial arts instruction in a welcoming environment. It's more than a place to learn karate; it's a community that fosters growth and friendship. Thank you, Kicks Karate, for the wonderful impact you've had on our daughter's life!“
“White Tiger is great for kids and young adults. My son has learned discipline and respect. I would 100% recommend it.“
“If you want to build muscle, burn fat and have fun you NEED to sign up for Kareemah’s classes at Roda Movement. Kareemah is brilliant in designing exercises that target those small and big muscles all over your body (and esp the core). She seldom repeats her routine so you won’t feel bored of the same exercises. Because I have very tight hamstrings, and others in class may have weaker knees, she is clued in and attentive and will suggest modifications. I am convinced that I have gotten stronger and leaner as a result of Kareemah’s classes!“
“superb care, supervision and thought from the incredible instructor. great ambiance and attitude created by the dedicated instructors. highly recommend.“
“I have three kids attending Dragon Martial Art. This is a great place for kids to learn Taekwondo while building confidence and discipline. Master Yong and his staff are wonderful with kids. Master Yong’s instruction program is a combination of teaching martial arts with implication of moral values, discipline, and respect. You can always feel the positive energy from the instructor’s passion for the work that he does. We are impressed with Master Yong’s capability in motivating the kids to strive for their best while making them laugh and have fun. My kids are excited to come to Dragon everyday and enjoy every moment of it.“
“I had a lot of fun in my Taekwondo Class with the people in my Taekwondo Class whom I loved the most at the World Classic Martial Arts in Gaithersburg, Maryland, which is the 3rd Largest City in Montgomery County, Maryland, Jarrett Inn, Charles Park, Darren Kinnamon, James Martinez, Jesse, Janet, and Hannah Lee, and Tyler and Sandra Young when I was 12 and 13 years old from Wednesday October 30, 2002 through Saturday July 3, 2004, which was on the day and week before Halloween and my Dad, Tesfaye Wegderesgn, temporary 8th Grade Mainstream Coordinator at Gaithersburg Middle School, which is located on 2 Teachers Way in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Mr. Eric Blohm, and Jonathan Harshman's Older Brother, Jake Harshman, came to Visit me at Fork Union Military School, which is a Private, Male Military School that is located on 4744 James Madison Highway in Fork Union, Virginia, which is a city that lies in Southern Fluvanna County, Virginia, because Jarrett Inn, Charles Park, Darren Kinnamon, James Martinez, Jesse, Janet, and Hannah Lee, and Tyler and Sandra Young were very nice, mature, sweet, and understanding people.“
“We have tried a lot of activities, but nothing ever seem to stick. That is until we started taekwondo. Master Holder is wonderful with the kids, so motivating! My girls love to go to class and have gone from one day a week to three days a week. They just got there yellow belt and the pride on their faces passing the test was wonderful to see. ! They get a great workout and I can see the difference in their energy and stamina. Couldn't be more excited!“
“Just a normal bookstore. Nothing too exciting about this place. Their services are not that bad. I might come back here soon.“
“I feel like I am going to see my family and have fun every time when I take myself and my children for Karate class. I miss the TKA family badly as I am not registered for the last two sessions for being busy with school. I can’t wait to restart next Spring. I just registered my two children, one who has blue belt and the other one has a green belt. I have green belt as well.“
“They recently changed management of the place, but I found the new instructors to be even more passionate and focused on passing down the craft of karate to the new generation. It may seem like they teach Tang Soo Do, a Korean martial art, but they do teach Karate, though with a Korean perspective. It's not surprising that there are commonalities between the 3 arts because Karate and Tan So Do (and many more martial arts) are heavily influenced by Chinese martial arts, so there's a common lineage either way.“
“Easily the best karate studio on the planet. This has been a game changer for my son Jack. He absolutely loves it and has made so many friends. The instructors are top notch. Don’t hesitate to sign up.“
“My 7.5 year olds have been at Kicks Karate for 2 years now in the Little Ninjas program. We all love Kicks. As a parent I love the scheduling flexibility, we can go to any age appropriate class any two days of the week. They are very flexible about make ups, as long as you are within the 8 classes per month. Mr Justin and all the coaches are great with the kids and keep them engaged and developing. I do sometimes wish that the student/assistant instructors would be more proactive about correcting form or movements. We plan on sticking with Kicks for the long haul!“
“I’ve been going to Han Mi for over 2 years, and I can’t say enough good things! The Han Mi community is amazing, kind, supportive, caring, and has your learning in a friendly environment as their top priority. I have gained confidence both by training in Kendo and Jiujitsu. Han Mi is like a second family to me, and I would recommend them to anyone.“
“Trained by master Brown has always left a love for shaolin wushu in my heart. Teachers were great and patient with you.“
“The best of the best for authentic from a true pure of source of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Mario and Fernando Yamasaki are the forerunners of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the DC area.
Mario arrived 27 years ago, bringing with him the unfiltered, not for sale, but you have to earn it, through 1000's of hours of blood, sweat and tears to become a black belt instruction.
His brother Fernando brings the same mindset to the school, providing top-notch instruction to his students.
Great place to learn and grow.
I am thankful for the years of instruction and being a part of the Yamasaki family.
Oss.“
“My 7 year old loves training at Kang’s! She had a great time during Buddy Week and immediately asked to sign up for classes. We took advantage of a low-fee, multi-week trial that included a free uniform before making a longer commitment. From the very beginning, the instructors addressed her by name, recognized her focus and effort, and encouraged her. If you have a kid that would do well with discipline + fun, give Kang’s a try!“
