“Perfection! From the moment I first contacted John Lee to the Sunday afternoon they finished our oriental garden my husband and I knew we would receive five star treatment and results. I happened on this company when doing a nationwide search of oriental garden design companies and Lee's Oriental Landscape Art popped up. I was thrilled to find that it was local in the DMV and reached out to John with a few questions. He immediately responded and thus began a one year communication that ended with a back yard renovation to which I would give ten stars if that were an option. The initial drawing John provided told us we were likely to like our new space; after working with him to perfect the design based on special drainage needs, personal preferences and some soil and terrain challenges, we ended up simply loving it! The final outcome is a magical garden that could not be improved upon, both in the day and at night. The up lighting is superb and highlights the special nature of the plants and trees John selected. Our accent boulders, handpicked by John, are already the envy of many of our neighbors and we feel like no one could have understood and interpreted our preferences into a more unique and gorgeous garden.

Despite his careful selection of plants, trees, statuary and materials, John was open to our (very) few requests for (very) small tweaks to his design and he is a good collaborator. He and his team are incredibly hard working, efficient and committed to their schedule. They arrived promptly each day, tidied up and showed up again the next day on time. We were astonished at how quickly such an elaborate project could be completed and found it very different from the much longer time periods other contractors in our neighborhood take to complete smaller projects. When John first gave us the estimated time to completion we were skeptical that something this beautiful could emerge after such a short time but he said they were efficient and he was definitely on the mark!

I could go on and on about this company, and likely will as visitors comment on its beauty, but for now will simply say that my husband and I unequivocally recommend him to anyone looking for a unique and magical result, no matter the current condition of their space! We are already thinking of other projects in our future and are looking forward to working with John and his team again.“

“Jose and his team did an amazing job taking down a very large tree that was close to our house and making us nervous with the way it was leaning. He came out quickly for an assessment after I reached out, and his team came out within a week for the job. We were initially a bit skeptical because he said that his team wouldn't need a crane for the job (which was about 150-200ft tall), but he was right — they took down the whole tree just by climbing up the tree with ropes and taking it down in pieces, and there was no damage done to our house. It was incredible to watch. They also did an amazing job with the cleanup. The price was also much less than we were expecting, which we were very happy about. We will call them again if we ever need any more tree work done!“
