“Updating this review. The staff and management reached out. As mentioned before I was late, but upset due to the inflexible nature of the situation. They have been understanding and discussed their challenges in detail. I have (probably exhaustively) explained my issues with some of their procedures. But I am happy with the adjustments made and appreciate the staffs efforts. So am adjusting my review.

Been a client of this vet office for nearly 30 years. Since the new leadership has taken over, the personal care has been dramatically reduced. After trying to get a allergy treatment for my dog for months and trying to get them to order it. On the day to pick up the meds and be instructed on the meds use I was 16 minutes late due to traffic. Was called as I parked that they canceled my appointment and I shouldn't bother walking in.“

“Abby is a very anxious 12 year old Beagle mix who has been seeing Dr. Ruth on most visits. She is always very thorough in her exams and conscientious about Abby's anxiety. The vet tech Michael was friendly and gentle with Abby as well. I have never in 12 years had a bad experience at Veterinary Housecall Service. Keep up the great work!!“

“Amazing is what this practice can do! This staff has restored my Sadie's eyesight! She is so happy, tail wagging, and kisses! I come home from work to her looking for me at the window again! The care she received here with all her visits and surgery have been 100% worth every dollar spent! I was so nervous at the start because my dog is under 5lbs but the staff was knowledgeable and informative. They took care of her as if she were their own. They got her in quickly and restored her sight. Highly recommend if your dog losses sight due to cataracts to bring them here immediately! God bless this staff!“

“We just moved to the area from out of state and Dr Carrie was great with our senior dog. I appreciate how straight forward she is and how she gave options for our dogs tumor in her paw. The staff was really friendly and the kids play area in the waiting room was a nice touch for my 4yr old.“

“Really professional and easy process. Kept me in the loop while my 5lb dog was spayed, which helped ease my anxiety. I dropped her off at 7:30am and was out the door with her by noon. They provide really clear and attentive post-op instructions, and she’s healed really nicely since the operation.

I was able to get an appointment within two weeks, and was happy with the price after being quoted $1200+ in NoVa. Great experience all around and would recommend to others.“

“It was our first visit here. Our dog's back legs suddenly gave out. They triaged him immediately upon arrival but then there was a 6-8hr wait to see the doctor .Yikes. We stayed and made the best of the situation. They gave him meds to keep him comfortable. I sent my son to the store to get a crate as our dog would not endure sitting there for several hours in my lap. Finally got in with the doctor and was given our options on how to take care of our dog. Over all a good experience, just didn't like how long it took“

“No one will help the stray cat I found all the other hospitals asked for money first this hospital took in my cat immediately and help me apply for financing and their prices were 50 less then all the hospitals i called . Very compassionate dr and staff. Highly recommend them.“

You can feel that they care about the animals that come in. The doctor is amazing as well, bringing up points and concerns that I may not be aware of. They always give me options and never force me to purchase a service, as well as explaining all charges that will be due for each visit (no surprises). With my cat's most recent accident, they have been very attentive to his changes and needs, and they address all concerns during each visit. I also receive a follow up call, which means a lot.“
