“Updating this review. The staff and management reached out. As mentioned before I was late, but upset due to the inflexible nature of the situation. They have been understanding and discussed their challenges in detail. I have (probably exhaustively) explained my issues with some of their procedures. But I am happy with the adjustments made and appreciate the staffs efforts. So am adjusting my review.

Been a client of this vet office for nearly 30 years. Since the new leadership has taken over, the personal care has been dramatically reduced. After trying to get a allergy treatment for my dog for months and trying to get them to order it. On the day to pick up the meds and be instructed on the meds use I was 16 minutes late due to traffic. Was called as I parked that they canceled my appointment and I shouldn't bother walking in.“

“Abby is a very anxious 12 year old Beagle mix who has been seeing Dr. Ruth on most visits. She is always very thorough in her exams and conscientious about Abby's anxiety. The vet tech Michael was friendly and gentle with Abby as well. I have never in 12 years had a bad experience at Veterinary Housecall Service. Keep up the great work!!“

“Dr.Brenner was absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable, professional, informative and treated my Poochin with such gentle care. I’m bringing in my German Shepherd puppy in today as well. Highly recommend him.“

“My Khaos had been very sick for awhile, I was dreading having to put him down and thought he would've gotten better... he did not. I caved and made an appointment with Severn River Animal Hospital. I wanted honesty, not a place that would make empty promises and take my money. After a brief exam, I was given 2 options; euthanasia or try somethings that didn't guarantee him living for a long period of time. I said i just want him to be at peace and not sick anymore. I thank them for their honesty and allowing me to spend time with my boy before and after the process. This was a first for me. I had him cremated and received his remains by the end of the week. Checked my mailbox and the entire team sent me a card. I'm grateful I found this place and will be using them for my other doggos.“

“It was our first visit here. Our dog's back legs suddenly gave out. They triaged him immediately upon arrival but then there was a 6-8hr wait to see the doctor .Yikes. We stayed and made the best of the situation. They gave him meds to keep him comfortable. I sent my son to the store to get a crate as our dog would not endure sitting there for several hours in my lap. Finally got in with the doctor and was given our options on how to take care of our dog. Over all a good experience, just didn't like how long it took“

“No one will help the stray cat I found all the other hospitals asked for money first this hospital took in my cat immediately and help me apply for financing and their prices were 50 less then all the hospitals i called . Very compassionate dr and staff. Highly recommend them.“

“My two puppies, Lime and Lulu, always visit Dr. Holden. All staff adore our babies and take a good care of them. Dr. Holden is very professional and took a very good care of them. Our dogs got neutered and fixed by Dr. Holden and recovered very well. They love visiting the vet and always get yummy treats. Lime and Lulu will always go to Severn Square Vet. :)“

“The entire staff at Alexander Animal Hospital is amazing. The care is exceptional. They listen to pet owners’/parents’ concerns and advocate for the well being of the pet. One of our frenchies was having some major issues with a skin infection vs focal seizures. They have been trialing different things, and helping the situation since it occurred. I called and asked if they could do something else to possibly help. They listened, got us in the next day, and pretty sure fixed the issue. It’s very easy to get an appointment, and they are reasonably priced, unlike other vets around town. I highly recommend Alexander Animal Hospital.“

“BEST VET FOR DOGS ? & CAT'S ? ? EVER. First visit there what's September 25th we took our cats and a week later we had to get them rechecked and also brought our puppy who is almost 9 months old, Dr A is absolutely amazing and I'm so happy and pleased with the service that we received and I will never trust my animals than anyone else's hands. “Alpha Vet Center is the best! We have a Jindo rescued from a Korean dog meat farm. Because of his past, he is very shy and terrified of people, through no fault of his own. The doctors suggested a combo of meds that would relax our dog, and we gave them to him before our appointment. Our vet visit was the most positive experience ever! Dr. Burton and techs were wonderful and very gentle with him. They made our dog feel at ease and comfortable. He even took treats from them which he has never done with strangers. The exam was a success, and we are very pleased. As a former vet receptionist and retired groomer, I cannot say enough good things about this practice. If you need a quality vet hospital with a caring compassionate team, this is the one to go to. You won't be disappointed. We are very happy with them and so is our doggy :)“
