“I had a fantastic experience at Union Veterinary Clinic today, Monday, 10/7/2024. Over the weekend, my dog had a minor nail injury that wasn’t healing as expected. I called the clinic first thing in the morning, and despite it being a busy Monday, the email receptionist was incredibly empathetic and arranged to see us within an hour!

When we arrived, the staff was welcoming and efficient. We were checked in quickly, and shortly after, Dr. Slotje came in to examine my dog. She was amazing—gentle, patient, and had an immediate connection with my dog. He’s never nervous with strangers, and he warmed up to her instantly. Dr. Slotje carefully explained the situation with his nail and swollen paw and recommended a treatment plan. She also suggested doing a full nail trim while we were there, which was much appreciated, especially since he's reluctant when it comes to nail trims.

Erin, the vet assistant, came in next and did a great job keeping my 95-pound boxer calm with treats and playful distractions. Then Carlos joined in to assist with the nail trimming, holding my dog with care while Dr. Slotje and Erin worked together. My dog may not enjoy nail trims at home, but the team handled everything with ease and professionalism.

I’ve been bringing my dogs to Union Vet for over 15 years, and their level of care and compassion is always top-notch. I’m so thankful they fit us in on such short notice today. Their exceptional service and dedication are what keep me coming back. Kudos to the entire team—you guys rock! ?

“Family Pet Vet is the absolute best. Dr. Wehrli is so compassionate and authentic. And, not only is Dr. Wehrli the best, but his staff is my absolute favorite. In particular Beatriz and Cai! They have so much love for all the animals. They are so kind and helpful. We had a really serious surgery with our older dog and they were so helpful in walking me through everything and getting him out and into the car to help me. When our dog ended up passing they were so compassionate. We now have a new puppy and they are just as loving. I feel like they are a truly family vet practice.“

“There is no other vet in DC I would trust to care for our dear, sweet, elderly basset house. We've gone to Union Vet Clinic for the last 7 years, since moving to DC. The entire staff is always so wonderful and Dr. Gross has been our trusted vet the entire time, but if ever Dr. Gross is out, we have always received wonderful care from the other Doctors on staff. I must say, sometimes it is very stressful coming in because of our dog's advanced age and not knowing what is wrong with her. But seeing the wonderful front desk staff at the clinic always makes it easier. Rebecca is always so helpful on the phone and Nesha is so sweet and always asks how our sweet girl is doing, even when I am just there solo to pick up medication. Bryce is so amazing and empathetic whenever we come in with an issue, I can tell he truly cares and he has also stayed late to help me pick up medicine. He constantly goes above and beyond to help us. And Christian the vet tech is always so tender with our sweet old girl! Union Vet Clinic is truly a family, they are incredibly skilled and compassionate and I'd recommend them to anyone he needs expert care for their furry best friends!“
