Wow, you don’t find craftsmanship like this anymore! I was taking a ride on my bike, and when I was getting back on my zipper would not close. It was a pretty cool evening and I wasn’t looking forward to riding without my jacket. I just happened to be in the parking lot and saw the cleaners. I walked in and asked if they repaired zippers and they had a very nice gentleman take a look at it. He spent at least 20 minutes trying to replace the zipper pull but unfortunately it’s a custom zipper and he did not have the right size. I have an office chair that I didn't want to replace. The issue is the padding in the cushion has flatten over 20 years. So I wanted to replace the padding but the cushion had no zipper to add fill. I made phone calls to seamstress, cobblers, cleaners, etc...
Yes they can do it, yea for over $60. Plus they were locations in Frederick or Columbia. The local areas had no time or hung up the phone. I decided to try D&D Cleaners in Mt. Airy. Walked in very welcoming Mother and Daughter sales team. They were very happy to add a zipper and the photo's show they hid the zipper very well in the binding. I bring all my alterations and cleaning here. They always do a great job. Recently I brought in a curtain panel that needing repair at the hem. They did such a fabulous job it looks original again. Great job
