Max understands the natural tendencies of each kind of hair (mine is fine), and he does an amazing job cutting and styling it to play to the natural strengths. He gave me some pointers about how to style it, and I've been using those as well. Additionally, in this area of town, Max's cuts are a great value deal. You aren't going to find anyone who will give you the quality cut Max does, and you really aren't going to find a more economical cut either. You'll be lucky to get in to Max.“

“After trying other barbershops in DC, I've finally found the barbershop for me after only two visits. I came in for a standard haircut ($35), but I felt that I got more than the standard cut and service. My barber took time to understand what I wanted, made some suggestions, and executed. I can see as he was cutting that it was already looking nice. I'm not used to such good attention being given by a barber. I'd never walked out of a shop feeling as good about myself after a fresh cut because I know it does look good. In fact, after my first visit, I received a lot of compliments from coworkers and friends, which I never got with any prior place. I felt that they guys here really wanted their customers to have a good experience in the shop, to walk out confident and looking their best. The guys are super friendly and professional, and the clientele appears very diverse. I highly recommend Abdel, so look for him when you make an appointment online, which is necessary because of they're pretty busy. I was sad to leave my previous barber who did a great job for me for 15 years, but the prices in downtown DC started soaring over $50 (without tip), and it because unsustainable. I'm glad I found Habib's with very reasonable prices, excellent haircuts, and great service.“
