“I had my 2nd lobes piercing for the first time today by Maddie and she is AMAZING! Not only is she super skilled with her techniques, she is also a ball of personality!! My piercing didn't hurt at all and she really took the time to educate me about the aftercare. Also, the aftercare package (which is an optional purchase) is the CUTEST package EVER! It has an instruction card, their stickers, lollipops and a pack of Q-tips to help you take care of your new bling. It really goes to show that Maddie and the rest of the crew really care about their work even after you leave their shop. I can't wait to come back for more piercings with them! Getting an appointment was super easy. Parking was plentiful as well. I like that they have reserved parking spots just for their customers, but there is a small public parking lot within walking distance from their shop if you can't find parking.“

“I made an appointment at Big City Body Art with Maddie and got my nostril double pierced. It was a seamless process. She walked me through everything, she made sure I was comfortable while piercing, and that I understood the aftercare and healing process. She was super friendly and professional and I would definitely go back to her if I want to get anymore holes. The place was set up beautifully and it was immaculately clean and straight, prices were pretty typical of the area and all of the staff was great.<br><br>I drove a hour to them, so if you’re looking for a reputable studio that does piercing, it’s worth the drive!<br><br>Thank you, Maddie!“

“Fantastic experience! Had a piece done on my upper arm by Kinsey and I love it. The process was super easy from initially contacting her to final ink on skin. The studio itself is superb. Clean, comfortable, and super cool. Kinsey was a delight to work with. Super easy to talk to. I brought a bag full of stuff to pass the time and didn't use any of it. We ended up just talking for the whole 6-hour session. Overall, a perfect experience and if/when I have more work done, it will definitely be here.“

“What a wonderful experience. Every so often a place of business will raise the bar for the industry. After being tattooed the past 8 years in a variety of high-end shops in DC and Northern VA, I was blown away by the place. This has to be the most state of the art and clean studios I have ever seen. It is located off a main highway, in a nice quiet industrial park with a nice forrest view. There is ample free parking. The inside of Painful Pleasures looks brand new and is very, very well kept. Hell, even the bathroom has automatic sink and soap dispenser, the floor is immaculate. Every little detail is taken care of. The individual rooms they use for tattooing have private TVs and radio options. The tattoo chair is ergonomic and very comfortable. My artist had the cleanliness and professionalism that could make most ERs look silly. There is also a feature to turn the clear glass walls opaque for tattoos in places that not everybody gets to see. All of the supplies are top notch and they don't skimp. My artist even cleaned the chair in front of me with bleach based cleaner before getting started (despite the fact it was already clean). He also opened all needles in front of me and changed gloves repeatedly to avoid any cross contamination. I was hesitant to post because I am selfishly hoping to allow this studio to be the best kept secret in the DMV area, but when a business and an artist put this much effort into customer experience and work, recognition is mandatory.“

“I've been going to Naked Art for years now and absolutely adore all of the artist there. I've had tattoos by Eddie, Maddie and Ronie. Each time I go in for my tattoo, it's a very welcoming and warm environment. Clean place and decently priced. Just as a heads up, they do not have a piercer.<br><br>Cleanliness: The shop is very clean. New needles are used everytime.“

“I got two tattoos done by @bodymoreinked. He did a fantastic job and he’s truly an expert and perfectionist at what he does. The tattoos turned out better than the reference photos I showed him. He even helped me out with placement of the tattoo because I wasn't sure exactly where I wanted my butterflies on my hand but he made it all come together perfect. “I had my ears re-pierced by Corina and it was a fantastic experience. I had taken my earrings out during the early days of the pandemic but wanted to reopen the holes for my wedding and I explained this to Corina and she was a fantastic resource and worked with me to clear out the holes i had and reopen them.<br>The price is a bit steep but honestly you are paying for sanitation, customer service, the hand made jewelry and the one to one consultation and work. I would recommend her to anyone looking to be pierced. It was a very lovely experience!“
