I am so happy that my favorite Laurel barbershop, Slye's, has reopened. I got my first haircut yesterday in 6 months here since they reopened at the end of June 2020 for everybody's business, not just first responders, during this horrible time of the Chinese Pandemic of 2020. Prince George's County finally relented and let personal service businesses operate again, after closing everything since January 2020. The family of barbers here are expert, very gentle, and make customers feel welcome and comfortable. At last the shaggy hair is off my ears and out of my face!

I grew up in Laurel. Been a resident the majority of my 50 years. Driven by the shop thousands of times. Yet, somehow I had never been here till yesterday. Its the classic barbershop, with prices from the 80s. Got a great haircut from a Laurel native and former LHS classmate as well. Limited hours in the days of covid 19, so verify they are open but I had a great experience.

A wonderful old fashioned haircut in a barber shop that has been operating for decades. A friendly family of barbers with just the right personal touch to make your experience a very pleasant one. With the rate of 10.00 a cut it feels like you stepped back in time when you walk in the door. Tucked away in old historic Laurel, you will enjoy Slyes barber shop better than a franchised hair Cuttery.
