I’ve come here twice so far for loc maintenance with Melissa. I haven’t been to a stylist in at least 10 years. I’ve been retwisting my own locs since my sister started them. I was nervous from the horror stories I’ve heard about stylists in the area, but Melissa truly changed my perspective. She is knowledgeable, patient, and skilled at what she does. My hair is thinning in some places and she knows how to style my hair so that it is not obvious, and is still flattering. She has great suggestions for products and things to do to reverse the thinning, and even discussed tracking my growth each time I get my hair done. I started my micro loc journey in April with Melissa at Loc central and because my hair was very short and thinning, I gave it about 8-10 months before I'll feel comfortable wearing the locs out. On June 5th, I went for my first retwist and was planning to wear a wig as I was about to go out of town the next day. I was totally surprised and amazed how Melissa styled my hair. Starting from the airport, people were literally doing a spin to look at my hair. I've never received so many compliments about my hair.Melissa did a wonderful job. She is great and highly skilled!
