“I’ve had two appointments with Mona; the first for an eyebrow wax and the most recent for a neck, underarm, and Brazilian wax. Let me just say that I hope she never leaves the area or decides to switch professions because I have definitely found my favorite esthetician!!! Lol. Mona has a wonderful persona and energy and she’s extremely professional. She’s quick with her service but she’s also thorough from what I noticed. Most importantly (to me), her space is very clean AND she made me feel at ease and comfortable which I usually don’t feel during body waxing appointments. I’ve had problems with my skin and after bringing up my concerns, she explained what I could do at home and which products to use to begin seeing a difference. “Raji is the ultimate professional. In fact, I followed her from another chain establishment because I trust her threading skills. She's gentle and pricing is below other competitors. I've also gotten waxing services and her hands are the most gentle I've ever experienced in 15+ years. The salon is private despite it being a shared space with other cosmetic professionals. Refreshments are available for waiting guests (although I've never had to wait). Parking is free for first 30 minutes at the lot next door. Centrally located in downtown Bethesda. Highly recommend.“

“Visiting from Philly, and Olga gave me the best mid-skin fade that I've ever had. Im very, very picky about how I get my hair cut, and she did a better job than any of the premiere barbers I've seen in Philadelphia.

Additionally, she followed up regarding my skin around 24 hours after my session, which was great. Please be aware when tht there is a down payment at the time of booking the session before you make the rest of the payment once your session is over. (E.g. a session that costs $120 would be paid $20 at the time of booking, then the other $100 once you come and finish your session).“

Although I had a bad experience at this place, I have to give it to Angela, the owner. As soon as I posted the review, she contacted me directly and apologize for the experience. I am giving it 5 stars because I like small business that care about how their customers are treated and of course want the best for them. Don’t make my experience stop you from going. Angela cares about customer service and the service that they provide. She took my experience very serious and was very concern about me, but was very clear that she will make sure that my experience won’t ever repeat again to anybody.

Past Review:
I went yesterday to get a Brazilian wax. As soon as I got there she showered me with baby powder. While spreading the 3 cups of baby powder on my vagina she scratched me multiple times. The lady was so aggressive, she didn’t let the wax even dry, she would put the paper for a second and rip without even getting any hair. While ripping the wax from top to bottom she would hit the table, she waxed the same spot 5 times. She had the nerve to asked “are you nervous?” Meanwhile I was suffering. Once she was done, she told me to check myself and let her know if she needed to go over one more time (in my head I was like HELL NO!) I got up and the paper was stuck to my butt, I had wax on my fresh manicure because she asked me to hold my skin since she couldn’t ripped hair with her “technique” I stayed in that room for a good 20 mins cleaning myself. Now my vagina is irritated, seems like she ripped skin and hurts to walk. I went to this place because my usual lady was not available so lesson learned, never cheat on your lady even when is an emergency.
DO NOT GET A BRAZILIAN THERE!!“

“Penny and Dupont Lash & Brow Bar absolutely deserves the spotlight! She's incredibly kind, attentive, and truly a master of her craft. I barely had to say a word--Penny took a look at my eyes and immediately pinpointed all the issues I've struggled with for years (like how my lashes in the front get hidden because of my eyelids). Honestly I was shocked, as it took her seconds to notice things other places never pick up on unless I explicitly tell them. She walked me through a few options and suggested starting with a lash lift since it's more affordable and better for my everyday look. I was so impressed that she wasn't just trying to upsell me! When we did the extensions, Penny was super practiced and clearly knew how to work with my eye shape. I was already satisfied halfway through, but she has such high standards for herself and kept tweaking until it was absolutely perfect. The whole time I felt so reassured. The studio itself is adorable--clean, cozy, and peaceful--and the staff are all so friendly! Since I'm just visiting DC, they even gave me tips on fun spots to check out.
