“I just had a really great experience with Silver Spring Animal Hospital and they'll now be my dog's primary provider. I've struggled with vet care for my 4-year old pup because she's so fearful and resistant. I found this practice through the Fear Free website, because the vets are certified fear-free, which means they've received training on how to calm down fearful dogs. They worked with me to get a good dose of calming drugs before the visit and they allowed me to stay in the room with her which was really important to me (I want to know how my dog reacts and I know my presence makes her feel better even if she was still uncomfortable). Dr. Benton and all the staff I met were really great and everything was clearly explained to me and they took the time to address all my questions.“

“To be honest, this was the best experience my family has had with a veterinarian practice. (Of course my pup had a great experience too which says a lot!). From the scheduling process, to the appointment itself and follow-up, everything has been great. We came from a different practice, Woodley Gardens made the transition so easy with obtaining all of my dogs prior records from multiple practices which made everything so much easier. My dog has inflammatory bowel disease and is under very specific care and a special diet because of this. Dr. Lowenthal has already been an amazing help with continuing care for my dog's disease and also helping us maintain communication with our dog's internist. I highly recommend this practice!“

“Thank you so much for squeezing Captain Morgan in. Dr. Alcott was great, I really appreciate the time he took with us and explaining things. I will try to keep him from eating stuff from outside which is almost close to impossible. It took a good week and he finished his medication and is back to "normal".

Thanks again to the front desk staff and Patrick was very helpful (as usual) answering my reply texts since I can't always get to my emails.

“This is an excellent vet clinic! I can’t recommend them enough. They have taken good care of our puppy and the staff is all excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable and they always remember our pup and her quirks. They got her in same day when she had an ear infection. They were also super helpful when she was having some pain/discomfort after her spay and gave her a different medication which is working well for her. Overall, very responsive and helpful clinic. “The doctors and staff at Nebel Street have taken care of my cats for over 20 years. They are unfailingly attentive, and treat each "patient" like their own. They take their time in the examining room, provide careful explanations, and regularly follow up with phone calls after each visit. Originally, I lived a few blocks from their office, which was very convenient. Although I have moved, the 30 minute drive is well worth it. I wouldn't trust my cat family with anyone else.“

“Simply the best place you can take your pet. The staff not only cares about the animals but are all animal lovers and always made my dog feel comfortable. We had to put him down recently after a stroke and the staff were incredibly compassionate, professional, and reassuring that we were doing the right thing for our dog, while explaining the what was happening through each step of the process. “Dr. Kindberg is ABSOLUTELY fantastic at Friendship! I have lived in the neighborhood for 15 years- the location is ideal for me - they are open 24/7. Emergency wait times can be long just like at an emergency room for people. However, Primary Care membership at Friendship is fantastic. Bottom line- I have had the same primary care physician for 20 years- and using the same veterinary hospital greatly improves your odds for the best healthcare for your pets- same as for humans. I have a 3-year-old Shih-Tzu, Gucci who is on the Friendship Primary Care and I adopted a Shih-Tzu Maltese Mix from the Humane Rescue Society last week. Giorgio came from a puppy mill- his throat was cut ear to ear, he was never washed and it took 7 hours for me to shave him. I got an appointment for him on Sunday at 1:30 PM, yesterday, and Dr. Kindberg and staff rearranged Gucci's annual visit for today ( Monday) at Noon to ensure that both are in perfect health. I had a 35-minute wait with Giorgio on Sunday - but today the appointment was exactly at Noon- we were done and checked out at 1:15 PM. Gucci had to have shots, ear cleaning (hair cut deep in for left ear to clean the infection), and bloodwork. The entire staff was super helpful, friendly, caring, and efficient. Friendship was very busy with primary care and obvious emergencies with people running in with injured animals- THEY did a FANTASTIC job!!!!! Despite negative reviews - I would not take Gucci or Giorgio anywhere else! Dr. Kindgerg is their doctor going forward and everyone was helpful as Gucci can be difficult despite her appearance and hair bows :) .“
