They get one star because I cannot give zero. They have now shredded my flower bed three separate times. The on-site supervisor (who genuinely believes "on-site" means "Never here") promised to put a sign in the bed two months ago, instructing the weed-wackers to not cut down my plants. He did not put the sign in the bed, and they continue to hack to pieces two acanthuses (bear britches) that are four feet wide with more than ten four-foot flower stalks. One of them even stood on one of the acanthuses to rake cuttings out of the bed. Careless. Indifferent. Incompetent. Unresponsive. Irresponsible. How is hacking down my plants, and doing the same to so many of my neighbors, beautifying the grounds? And we're paying Lakehurst for this. A drunk teenager would do better.

Our HOA put Akehurst under contract on the recommendation of a neighbor but it's been a long tough struggle to get the work done in any sort of efficient manner. Not a giant property but they miss pruning bushes on the side lots - over and over - and it's like pulling teeth to get proper edging. We'll not be renewing.

Akehurst cuts the common area in our neighborhood, which includes a small part in front our home. They continuously ride up into my front lawn and scalp the grass down to the dirt. This has happened for 2.5 years. Just recently I called and spoken to their local area rep and he said he would help reseed and that I shouldn't have to worry about it. No follow through. It happened again the following week- I messaged the same rep and no reply. Very disappointed with this company. I do not recommend. This was an easy fix and they failed to do anything.
