“Our AC stopped working a couple weeks ago. We called a couple well known local contractors that we had used before. Both pretty much skipped over the concept of repair and jumped to right to replace. Neither even bothered to open up the panel on our internal unit to investigate. No, they said, the system is too old to repair (14 years) so you should buy a completely new system from us.
