Tammy has been cutting and coloring my hair and my daughter's hair for appx 18 years. She is so knowledgeable and patient and she really takes the time to listen to what you want and she educates you on options so that you can make the best decision, and no matter the decision... we have always been so happy with the results. My style is simple, dark brown yet my daughter is far more trendy with blonde (and other colors/styles that she likes to try). My teenage son has become very particular about his hair this past year and after multiple different local salon and barber visits I said, why don't you go see Tammy? He now refuses to go see anyone else. Aside from her professional skill and knowledge, she's really good at getting along and connecting with different types of people of different ages, styles and personality types, and making everyone feel comfortable. I can't say enough good things about her.
Not sure why Yelp asked me to review Journey Hair Salon. I did not make an appointment with them trough Yelp or otherwise. My review was for Hair Rescue Salon and that is what I thought I had been asked to review. Sorry for the confusion
My daughter wanted a very specific short cut for her curly hair and it was her first big chop! (I’ve always just trimmed her hair myself) Tammy cut her hair IDENTICAL to the photo but only after walking her through the cut and explaining what HER hair would do with that kind of style. She spent a good amount of time consulting about the length and her curls and what she could expect. It was awesome and she finessed it until it was perfect. My daughter loves it and is so happy! A+ 10/10 definitely recommend because Tammy WANTS you to love your hair!
