During the extreme cold weather and ice/snow storm on the Eastern shore of MD late January into February 2026, caused the drain pipe from the unit in our attic that routes outside to freeze causing our furnace to stop working. We noticed the drop in temperature while monitoring the thermostat APP while we were in Florida visiting family on a Saturday afternoon. We called Hometown and left a message, and also sent an email explaining the problem and told them we were in Florida with no way to check on the problem. John from HHC provided me with a good estimate to replace our propane furnace and AC unit with a new Bosch high efficiency heat pump with propane backup. I accepted and his team was ready to install within a week of acceptance. Ian and Evan and the rest of the crew did an outstanding job removing the old unit and installing the new one. They consulted with us whenever a choice could be made on routing conduit, they checked existing dampers, tested everything thoroughly and assisted us in setting up the Resideo app to control the unit. Very impressed with their service and professionalism.

I would absolutely recommend Hometown Heating and Cooling! They are professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly! They gave me THE best price too!! I had a whole new system put in along with a new hot water heater. My hot water heater had a pressure valve issue and the owner came out personally to check things on a Sunday! How was that for Customer Service?! You certainly don't find companies like this anymore… Check them out! You won't be disappointed!!! Top-notch company! ♥️
