Had a VERY negative experience at Dr. Miller's office on today 12/07/2023. I am personal caregiver to my mom, and we had a 3 month follow up appointment. I was unaware of a balance that owed I did not get a bill in the mail although the receptionist stated rather rudely that one was sent. I asked if she (my mother) could still be seen and of course the answer was no. As a medical assistant who works in a primary care office, I understand things can fall through the cracks. I will also mention here that the office I work for refers ALL our neurology consult patients to DR. Miller's office. The receptionist was extremely rude and had cut me off several times. Called me rude when I stated that I was unaware of balance. She was NOT helpful and did little to improve over patient experience. Especially knowing the waiting room was full of other patients waiting to see the provider as well. Going forward I will make my office manager as well as all 7 of providers to find another neurologist to refer our patients to. To end this, you treat EVERY patient how you would want your relative treated if they needed care. This will not happen if you go to Dr Millers office.

I want to start off with saying that Dr. Miller in himself is wonderful. My Mother was the patient, suffering with dementia. He was wonderful, kind, caring and worked with us. The one star goes to his staff, they are horrible! They are rude. I needed to drop off paperwork to them, I was rushing from work to get to them as I stood waiting at the window for the one to look at me, she turns her head to the other woman and says "look she is staring at me" and goes back to whatever she was doing. At that point I said "hello" both ladies were rude, I walked out of there thanking God that I didn't have e to deal with again. They made it very clear that they didn't want to deal with me. Even though Dr. Miller was wonderful, I would never recommend him do to his staff, I am not the only person in my family to feel this way. What a shame

I visited Dr. Miller after experiencing numbness and weakness in various parts of my body. He performed a thorough exam and sent me for an MRI on my cervical spine, which I had done on a Saturday morning. That afternoon, Dr. Miller contacted me and let me know that I had a large tumor on my spinal cord that required immediate attention. Before he contacted me, Dr. Miller set me up with an appointment to see a top Neurosurgeon at Hopkins. He was also persistent in his attempts to contact me that Saturday. I was at a party Saturday afternoon and he didn't stop calling until I picked up the phone. Long story short, I underwent surgery at Hopkins just 5 days later to remove the tumor and I'm currently recovering. Dr. Miller's quick actions not only helped save my life, they helped prevent further neurological damage. Although scheduling an appointment to see Dr. Miller wasn't the easiest processes, I'm glad I did because he is an excellent doctor.
