I recently bought a brand new construction home from the Caruso builders in Fort Washington Maryland. After doing extensive research and talking to multiple Realtors, I decided to higher Kemp home inspections to do my inspection. Although some say that new construction homes do not need inspections, I wanted to err on the side of caution and I definitely don't regret it. I work directly with Heather who does the standard inspections and she was fantastic. She called me for an initial consultation and talked to me through the pros and cons of new construction inspections, pricing, specialty inspections, as well as radon testing. I felt that she was not just trying to make a quick buck by offering services that I did not need, but instead was reassuring and made me feel confident that a standard inspection was all that I needed. On the day of the inspection, she gave me a courtesy call to let me know that the Builder had not cleaned the house as I expected. I was pretty upset, but she was able to work through it and still do the inspection. She sent a very detailed Report with pictures and was there when I needed her to be. She said she had found just a few things, but my husband and I felt like she found over two dozen things in a brand new construction home! What was most interesting was that when I took the report to the Builder the next day, he said that he agreed and fixed most if not all of everything that was in the report. I was astounded and found that it is so important to go with an inspector, and I couldn't recommend anyone better than Kemp home inspections. Heather also followed up with me the next day when she didn't need to to make sure that everything was going smoothly and if I had any questions. As a new home buyer, I felt that the customer service was excellent and even on a couple of occasions, Greg called me to clarify things. This really does feel like a family member added with the professionalism and I couldn't trust anyone more than Kemp.
Huge fan of Greg and Kemp Home Inspection! Had Greg at out future home and he was very thorough and professional with his inspection. Explained everything that he was looking at and testing and did not mind me shadowing him for 2 hours. Made all explanations easy to understand, and gave honest opinions of what he thought of any issues found and recommendations and ideas. Happen to meet an associate of the company picking up the radon testing kit and was overly impressed with her. She works part time for the company and is a nuclear engineer. NUCLEAR ENGINEER folks.
