Our dog had terrible allergy reactions back in 2020 and Dr. Jeffers was able to find alternative ways to help him and minimize his struggles without long term steroid treatment. We could not be happier with both Dr. Jeffers and Anjeli and the way our dog has transformed over the past two years. They never gave up on trying different ways to help him until he made complete recovery. We will always be grateful for their help and dedication.
Dr. Jeffers & his staff are wonderful. My lab's ears were constantly infected, his toes were a mess & he didn't have much fur when I adopted him. AADC quickly diagnosed him and got him on the right treatment. He looks 1,000% better. I live in Annapolis & they're great about emailing when I have questions.
About ten years ago, we adopted Alex, a little dog with (according to our vet) one of the most severe cases of atopic dermatitis they had ever seen. Alex scratched himself day and night and had a variety of skin infections and open sores on his body from all the itching. He had almost no fur and was miserable. Our vet referred us to Dr. Jeffers to try and get Alex some help. Dr. Jeffers knew what to do. After allergy testing (which found that Alex was allergic to many trees and grasses), he recommended allergy shots to address the allergies long-term, but also a variety of treatments in the short-term to get Alex's symptoms and infections under control. For a year we worked with Dr. Jeffers and his staff to address Alex's issues. Dr. Jeffers was clear that the goal was eventually to just use the allergy shot to maintain progress and I thought it was an insane goal given Alex's condition. But over the course of 18 months, Alex's allergies slowly abated. Every time we had an issue during this time, Dr. Jeffers and his staff were there to help, and Alex steadily improved under their care. We began dropping medications and medicated baths. The itching steadily lessened until one day I noticed I didn't see Alex itch at all. Just as Dr. Jeffers predicted, Alex's allergies were soon fully controlled by the allergy shot alone. It's been 10 years since we first walked into Dr. Jeffers' office. Alex is an "old man" now. He still gets his bi-weekly allergy shot, but his skin allergies are a distant memory. I can't even remember the last time I saw him itch. Thanks to Dr. Jeffers and his staff, Alex has enjoyed almost a decade of being itch free and happy. We will forever appreciate what they did for our little guy.
