I started coming to Koi Nails after trying two other highly rated salons in Ellicott City. At both salons, my gel/powder dip and acrylic nails broke or chipped within four days after application. The atmosphere at Koi nails isn't as luxurious or relaxing, and the decor isn't as stylish, but I get exactly what I want which is consistency and a beautiful set of nails that last for a fair price.

I see Tina for my acrylic nails. She's a perfectionist who also listens and advises. I've had to wait past my appointment time on occasion, but this is most likely due to her not rushing through her clients' services. She always checks multiple times to make sure I'm happy...read full review

The atmosphere at Koi nails isn't as luxurious or relaxing, and the decor isn't as stylish, but I get exactly what I want which is consistency and a beautiful set of nails that last for a fair price. I see Tina for my acrylic nails. She's a perfectionist who also listens and advises. I've had to wait past my appointment time on occasion, but this is most likely due to her not rushing through her clients' services. She always checks multiple times to make sure I'm happy with the shape and length. She also tests the color before applying it to all of my nails. If it's not what I expected, she happily helps select another option. I love her! In general, I've noticed that all of the staff seem friendly and have excellent rapport with their clients which leads me to believe they have a strong repeat customer base. It's a good sign when a client walks in and is all smiles as they greet their technician. I've noticed that no one has ever tried to up-sell services as soon as I walk in the door which, in my experience, a lot of salons do.

We received excellent service today. Came here with my wife for a mani and pedi, and we got settled in quickly after being offered a hospitality drink. Besides the excellent service, the inside was clean; we will come back for sure.
