Diane Koontz was our designer and worked with us to help explore ideas and materials to design the bathroom we wanted. She was a great listener and was patient as we looked at all the material choices. She understood our budget and helped us find choices that fit.
Sam Fuentes was our Project Manager. He ensured that we knew what to expect each step of the way. He communicated frequently and kept thing on schedule. Minor change orders were incorporated without any disruption. From demolition to final touches, the project was done in just two weeks. The work crew did a nice job of protecting the rest of the house from dirt and disruption. They put down carpet covers each morning and removed them and vacuumed at the end of the day. When work caused dust, they hung protective plastic barriers to keep the adjoining bedroom as clean as possible.
We are very pleased with our new bathroom and are considering additional projects with DK&B. We highly recommend the company, especially Diane and Sam.
A very skilled cobbler. With so many people trying to get a cobbler to do miracles on poorly made shoes it's difficult to trust online reviews and Ive had more then one well reviewed cobbler wreck a good pair of shoes. Cobbler and Co is the real deal and can be trusted with your quality shoes. They have done many repairs for me on everything from Goodyear welted boots to bespoke oxfords and have always done an outstanding job. I hope they'll be in business until I'm resigned to Velcro sneakers.

We had a great experience with Mr. Handyman. There was great communication and professionalism throughout the whole process. We got a text that had a picture of the guy coming to work on our home and a call asking if he could come by earlier. Kenardo was our technician and he was awesome! He gave us a quick estimate and immediately started working there was an issue with something in our home and instead of doing a half fix he told us to get an electrician to come and look at the problem. We are so grateful for the honest response and we will definitely use Mr. Handyman again and recommend them to others!

My husband and I wanted to redo our floors on some of the carpeted areas in our house. We found MD Flooring Solutions online and since their reviews were great, I gave them a call and spoke with Jay. He was very informative as I had a lot of questions and he had his estimator come out the same day to get measurements and a free estimate. The estimate was affordable so we decided to go with it. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful. Before the project even started, I had a bunch of questions on what kinds of things we needed to get, why we needed to get them, etc., and Jay was very patient and explained everything so I could understand. Even with all that, we ended up purchasing the wrong kind of wood (we mistakenly bought a thicker wood that would take longer to cut), but he didn't charge us for the extra labor, just the materials that would be needed to cut through it. Also, despite saying that it would take longer to complete, the crew was able to finish the whole job in two days. Happy with our new floors!

I first came across Define when looking for a new hair stylist for my daughters and I. I moved to MD from out of state last year and had no found a place that could meet our expectations. We had a horrible experience at another place and were nervous about trying somewhere new. However- the minute we walked into the salon for my daughters hair appointment, we were greeted with a new customer bag full of goodies, chocolate and also a buy one get one free product sale since it was our first time.
Our hair stylist is Sierra and she did an ABSOLUTELY amazing job on our daughter. Being Puerto Rican and Mexican - our hair is very course and naturally curly- so I was nervous about whether or not she would know how to deal or manage our hair while blow crying it. (Often times in previous experiences our hair always comes out puffy and frizzy because the hair stylist doesn’t really know how to style our type of hair) however - sierra did an AMAZING job and my daughters hair came out 10/10. Right then and there I booked for myself and I as well came out extremely happy with my cut and layers. I cannot recommend this place enough. We finally found our place. I suffer very bad from anxiety and it had been almost two years since I had step foot in a salon and Sierra and the front desk made me feel so comfortable and at home.

Always greeted by the manager, Brittany, or other on-duty stylists by name or with another familiar greeting. Using the online check-in app, I was lucky enough to have Brittany as my stylist. As always, professional in appearance and demeanor, providing a quality service for reasonable cost and offering and suggesting hair products to enhance one's appearance...reasonably priced, as well.

Me and my sister recently visited Nail Trix and Spa and we had an amazing experience! I started coming to Koi Nails after trying two other highly rated salons in Ellicott City. At both salons, my gel/powder dip and acrylic nails broke or chipped within four days after application. The atmosphere at Koi nails isn't as luxurious or relaxing, and the decor isn't as stylish, but I get exactly what I want which is consistency and a beautiful set of nails that last for a fair price.
I see Tina for my acrylic nails. She's a perfectionist who also listens and advises. I've had to wait past my appointment time on occasion, but this is most likely due to her not rushing through her clients' services. She always checks multiple times to make sure I'm happy with the shape and length. She also tests the color before applying it to all of my nails. If it's not what I expected, she happily helps select another option. I love her!
In general, I've noticed that all of the staff seem friendly and have excellent rapport with their clients which leads me to believe they have a strong repeat customer base. It's a good sign when a client walks in and is all smiles as they greet their technician. I've noticed that no one has ever tried to up-sell services as soon as I walk in the door which, in my experience, a lot of salons do.

I've been here several times and never had a bad experience. Most recent visit involved only half a pedi--I broke my leg and it's wrapped/booted from toe to thigh, so I thought it'd be nice to have one foot that looked beautiful since the other one is a mess. The additional massage was WELL worth it (plus it was no nice to feel pampered instead of just having my injury to focus on).
I don't normally get manicures, so normally wouldn't comment on those.
BUT
this last time I came with a friend who lives on the other side of the county, so she normally visits a different nail salon, and she got full acrylic nails. The whole drive home she raved about how good her nails looked and how much better a job they did than her normal place. So there's that.
I can't say good enough things about this nail place! I've only gone here for pedicures but they are so clean and meticulous about them! It does get packed pretty fast here so I would make an appointment otherwise walking in could take a 30 or 45 min wait. Which is fine because it's in a large shopping center, but mentioning this just in case. With so many "chop shops" around here I really appreciate how clean this place is and I hope they don't change.

Lucy is THE BEST lash technician! She will tailor your application to your unique eye shape and it looks soooo natural! I got the classic lashes with a bit more to add some more definition. A few ladies immediately complemented on how they could not tell they were lash extensions. I recommend Lucy for your lash needs. Her studio is cozy, cute, and very clean. I've had my hair cut by four other Chinese and Korean stylists in Annandale, VA and Rockville, MD and ended up with horrible cuts and "Asian mullets"... Once I found Jacky (originally at his Wheaton location), I've continued following Jacky for the last decade. I moved to the DC (VA) area from NYC and am very bias to finding a legitimate haircut from someone that's Cantonese. My daughter now gets her hair cut by him too, and we'll forever drive up to Ellicott, or wherever he'll go, and be his loyal patrons.

A 10/10 service that I ended up falling asleep, when I woke up my back was very smooth and shiny and lasted for a few days. A perfect service for the summertime when you want to show some skin! I received the mini golden day package as a gift and had a wonderful experience yesterday. The massage was relaxing but also managed to get some knots out. Only downside was that the nail tech was only free on Thursdays, but it was worth it to take a long lunch break!

I came there today with my family and had the best experience. The entire staff was very friendly and professional. I had Terrell for my massage and he was absolutely amazing! These ladies are the best! I really like all of them. I think it's cool that the shop is run by all women. Their flash events monthly are unique in that I haven't seen other shops do regular flash events like this. I recommend this place to others and have gotten my boss and coworker going there, too. I used Crouse Plumbing and Heating when I needed my toilet repaired and a new water heater.My parents are elderly and have had there share of people taking advantage of them with expensive repairs or poor workmanship. They wanted to know if I knew of a good plumbing company in the Howard County area, and I immediately thought of Crouse Plumbing and Heating. Bob came to my parent's home and determined they needed to replace two of the three toilets in their house. Bob didn't have any toilets on his truck, but stated he would come back with them and he did. He came back with an extra set of hands (a colleague) and they installed the toilets the same day. Once the toilets were installed, Bob checked and made sure the pressure in the water line was released. My parents were SO happy with the service they received.They said to me, "it's nice to know there are still good honest people out here who have integrity." I recently had several small rugs, runner and twp medium size rugs cleaner. 7-8 in all. One was silk. I was Very pleased with that professionalism of the gentleman that picked up that rugs, gave me an estimate and returned the rugs. Not necessarily in the order. I think it took about two weeks. I was in no rush. I have cleaned these rugs in the past and I could clearly see the difference in the method of cleaning that Rug Kare uses. Prices were competitive. I called to thank the owner the same day I received the rugs back. I will definitely utilize the service again. Don't hesitate.

I have a golden retriever, so you can imagine the state of my carpets:)) I've accepted the fact that they never will be truly clean again. But then I found Hippo Carpet Cleaning Ellicott City. They were able to remove those pesky paw prints and muddy spots that had been there for a long time now. My carpets not only look cleaner, but also feel softer. It's like walking on clouds now!

My husband and I had been frantically running around, trying to find reasonably priced quartz countertops, and we were really struggling to find honest folks who weren’t overcharging us. Cetin was basically our miracle, who gave us exactly what we were looking for. He not only helped us find countertops that we loved, but he really supported us in figuring out the most financially affordable options for us. I think what I appreciated the most was just how genuine and kind he is! We trusted him immediately and we just felt so well cared for. Went to Lauren’s to find some plants to fill a couple of flower beds around our house. We found a good selection with reasonable prices. The staff was helpful with recommending different plants to complete our project. When they ran out of what we needed more stock arrived within a week. One downside is that they don’t stock garden soil or mulch.
I came from another long time dentist and working with Smile Care was a refreshing change of pace. I got an honest evaluation and the team did a great job working with me for a plan that aligns with my insurance.
Staff are very helpful. They make sure the patient has a clear understanding of all on going procedures. Especially for new patients. Dr. Roosta does what is best for her patients.

We’ve know Dr. Richie since my oldest was at CMMS. She always made such a Great impression on us. Recently two of my girls had cavities filled ☹️. My oldest developed an infection on the same side of her mouth that she had her tooth worked on. As a mom I was super worried since her lymph nodes were so swollen behind her left ear and under her throat. I called Shiney Chompers knowing they were closed, but it allowed me to connect to the Doctor on call so I could leave a message. Within minutes Dr. Richie called me back. We spoke she asked for me to send pictures. She let me know if I needed anything to give her a call. Long winded story however this is the type of Dentist you don’t see anymore. Someone who is willing to have you contact if needed ❤️ Shiney Chompers is the truly the BEST pediatric dentist!!!!Also know her husband is an Oral surgeon we are having my little girls teeth done by him.
We've been going to this office for more than twenty years, starting with the father. My oldest has special needs and Dr. Dan and his staff still take care of her dental needs. My youngest is almost an adult. We've received nothing but great care over the years.
Received a few filling and a cleaning. The dental assistant and dentist both did and excellent job setting up and performing the work. That explained what they were doing step by step and engaged in conversation to make the time go by quickly. The young ladies around the corner are very welcoming and polite answering all my questions regarding my account. Would highly recommend this dental office for the entire family

I came to Dr. Morrison as a last ditch effort. I had been to soo many different types of Doctor's. Have also tried pt and another chiropractor in the past. Dr. Morrison gave me my life back!!! I don't say that lightly either. He is extremely passionate, knowledgeable and just exceptional at his craft! And he has an awesome and personable bed side manor. I had been debilitated physically and mentally for soooo long, that I just thought that was my new norm. i LOVE this place! i’ve been going for a few years now and have never had a bad experience. i love how flexible availability is sometimes Dr. Jason makes accommodations if he knows it is needed. Dr. Jason doesn’t use fancy gadgets or anything like that. He’s an old school real chiropractor who knows what he’s doing. i recommend this office to everyone i know who needs a great chiropractor!!

While each of the vets we’ve seen at Dunloggin deliver effective, compassionate care - we mainly see Dr. Holland. She’s caring, kind, and deeply experienced. We never feel rushed during visits and Dr. Holland takes time to answer all our questions.
The front desk staff and Vet Techs are also terrific. Clean, well-run clinic.

We take our three dogs to Countryside, and have worked with every vet there now during the past three years. Always very happy with the above and beyond service from the vets, the techs, and the front of the house staff who are friendly and helpful every visit. I almost hate referring people to Countryside because they are frequently busy and it can be a challenge to get appointments - although on several occasions now when one of my dogs has an immediate problem they have accommodated us for same-day visits. We trust them with the lives of our cherished ladies - I'm not sure there can be a higher compliment than that.

Dr. Faega and team are always helpful and knowledgeable. They're a little limited in some testing but they're the most affordable vet around. We've been with them for over 15 years.

I came to the last minute before they were closing and they still allowed me to give my beautiful Laila a bath. Im forever thankful for that because I didn’t have anywhere else to go that came to my mind for self-washing pups. I would definitely come back the next time.
Great place great people been taking my dog there for three years and she’s now 14 years old. Wish I Took her there when she was 10 years ago when she was a puppy just watching them work while waiting to pick up my dog, extremely professional, gentle with all the animals even cats

I like that about her, not to mention that she gives an excellent demonstration on how to massage correctly in between visits. She sets the atmosphere to aid with relaxation prior to the massage. I sort of sprained my ankle and was looking for a place to relieve the pain. The review here was nice so I thought to try it out. It didn't disappoint. First they wash your feet and then you get an intense massage of your feet and calves. Either way, it's been day one and my feet feels great. I'll definitely book mark this place.
You will not find anyone better than Erica! She offers a wide variety of massages And times are always convenient. The massages are better than any place I've ever been.

This place is my favorite place to go each week. I can walk in here hyper, frazzled and in pieces, and I always walk out feeling like a new person. I am scheduled with Missy for weekly acupuncture. The results have been stunning. She can take you in at your worst and in 60 min you walk out more balanced, clear headed and calm. I've been going in to address Covid Brain fog. The results I get here are far better than any medication I am prescribed. I also love that this is covered by my insurance, but i have to stress, the results they give each week are even lovelier. Thanks Missy, you are the best!

Dr Jun is absolutely the best. Not only is he trained in Western medicine with a degree from a prominent University, he has studied both acupuncture and herbs at the highest level and is a miracle worker. He finds things that western doctors will not find any recommends treatment besides drugs, and surgery. Cannot recommend him highly enough. My personal opinion is that he probably save my mothers life detecting a heart condition that was missed by medical equipment.
I came to Mr. Kim after months of debilitating nerve pain in my neck and shoulder. After seeing an orthopedist, doing 6 weeks of physical therapy, and going through rounds of steroids and naproxen, I was still unable to sleep at night and do daily tasks. As a mother of two young children, this has been extremely difficult. My first visit with Mr.Kim, he did a comprehensive and thorough examination and his background in pharmacology was beneficial. He used a mixture of cupping and acupuncture to provide relief to the area. I was a bit nervous as I didn’t want to exacerbate an already painful situation, but I came home and my muscle spasming had been greatly reduced. I slept through the entire night for the first time in MONTHS. And my pain is marginal compared to moderate/severe I was experiencing before my appointment. All I can say is THANK YOU to Mr. Kim. A kind and gifted healer! I will be recommending him to family and friends and look forward to future care with Mr. Kim so this mom can get back to caring for her two rambunctious boys :)
I had Sciatic pain and Piriformis syndrome in my right leg for months. I went to the doctor and tried numerous types of physical therapy but it didn't get better. I decided to try acupuncture and specifically looked for an acupuncturist trained in China. I had tried acupuncture before for migraines and the Western trained doc didn't help at all but the Chinese trained doc I tried after worked wonders but is now retired. After the first treatment I noticed a significant improvement and after four treatments I was almost 100 percent. It took a while for full recovery because we had to find the cause but we did and I am now without pain and have full mobility. Dr. Ma is kind and gentle and didn't hurt me with the needles. Her office is clean and relaxing. If you are in pain call Dr. Ma, she probably can help.
I've been going to see Dr. Young Kim for acupuncture, and he's been really great. He's so sincere and patient with me. He takes time to listen and understand how I'm feeling, both in my body and in my mind. He doesn't rush through things. He explains everything about the treatment carefully. I feel really comfortable and cared for when I'm with him. He has a big heart, and when he does the acupuncture, it's like he knows where I need help, not only physically but also emotionally. If you're looking for an acupuncturist, I highly recommend Dr. Young Kim. He's the one who can make you feel better inside and out.
