“We adopted our American Bulldog mix Captain late last summer. He had been abused and abandoned, left to starve. We needed a companion for our current dog and he loves all other dogs. So Captain was easy for the first 4-5 months, he was grateful but had some issues with manners, which we knew could happen. Around month 6 he seemed to want to know his order in the family and was trying to dominate. Sometimes seemingly aggressively dominate. We knew we needed training to help him and he needed to learn manners. He’s a big baby but could hurt someone with his size. We looked at personalized, at home training and other ways- and then found Sit Means Sit. They have a program that works- there is no failing unless you don’t do the work. It’s not cheap, but nothing worth its time is cheap, and no training is cheap. We learned that Captain loved the training because he looks at it like a “job.” His breed requires structure and focus on “something” or they get destructive either physically or mentally. All of our trainers: Kim, Heather, Quinn and Courtnie were excellent. After 1 training, Captain was noticeably a newer better version of himself. Still the 90lb lapdog but had manners already. We are so grateful to have this available in our area, it was worth every penny!!! If you are having issues, don’t wait, do it for your family and for your dog, they are worth it!“

We have a sensitive standard poodle and an energetic Cane Corso, who had their needs met during a weeklong stay at Timberview. Both dogs were themselves – happy and well-behaved – after their stay, which, unfortunately, was not the case at another kennel we tried.
