Did not have a good experience. During eye exam the technician said, "Your too young to have these vision problems." Like what kind of professionalism is that? & I did not know vision problems had a age limit??!?! I proceeded with my appointment & was told i can go home & decide whether i wanted to use my insurance for glasses or contacts. Came back 3 weeks later & was told the contacts that i came in with are not covered under my insurance & to get the contacts that are under my insurance i would have to schedule another eye exam which i will not be able to still use any eye insurance coverage. I ended up paying for my glasses & contacts out of pocket using no insurance. This place took advantage & no one was helpful. Bad experience.

Avoid this practice ! The staff in the billing section are rude, incompetent and unprofessional. I was provided an estimate that was $555.00 Too low! That is unacceptable and plain laziness. I was treated very poorly when questioning a bill that did not even reflect the 1,348.00 payment I had already paid. The Newark office was outstanding but I will find another eye doctor. Bait and switch prices are unacceptable in today's competitive climate!

Visited Lavenburg Medical Group as a new patient for dry eyes. The optometrist gave me a look over and provided me with eye drops to fix the problem - and we scheduled a follow up to make sure things improved (and they did). In both visits, the second of which is a follow up appt, they ran through my medical insurance with another $100 deductible (and I have pretty good insurance) rather than my vision insurance. They also scheduled me for an annual eye exam months later (which is covered under vision insurance), and charged me another $100 because I'm now considered having a 'medical eye condition'....for dry eyes. All of which is cured with a $10 bottle of eye drops from any pharmacy that you can pick up anywhere. No mention of this while I was in the office on 3 different occasions, and never seen by an Ophthalmologist for my "medical condition". 3 visits at a $100/visit....for eye drops. Done with this place!
