“We were a family at the Glen Burnie location. My son expressed interest in karate, so I signed him up since it was the most local option with the most flexible schedule. The instructors were always attentive and structured. You could tell that they truly focused on each student individually when it came to little things, no matter how many children where present. When our time came to an end, cancelation wasn't a haggle deal or several hoops to jump over. I wish that we could have continued our journey, but I sincerely wish them all the best. If they ever continue locally, I will not hesitate to rejoin.“
“This gym is amazing and has changed my life. Everyone is so polite and welcoming from the front desk to the coaches. I mainly attend the jiujitsu classes and have felt a difference both in my body and my mindset. Each month the class focuses on a position and what can be done in that position. It is hard work but if you put in the hard work it is really rewarding. All of these bad reviews seem unwarranted because they focus on individuals who seemingly try to break contracts. Contracts exist for a reason. If you are even slightly interested I would highly recommend attending. They also have classes for children. When my little one is old enough I hope to enroll him as well. The other day I was watching the advanced adult jiujitsu class and there was a moment the children's class came into the same area to get water. All of the advanced class stopped and clapped for a kid who had gotten a new belt. An mma coach was also making small talk with all the kids and you could tell how encouraged the kids felt. If you are patient, like to work hard and are a consistent person, join. If you are not sure, try their free trial. If you are wishy washy (which is fine if that works for you) then this gym probably is not for you. I have seen people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and experience levels in this gym. They all leave class with a smile on their face. Also shoutout to coach Chris and coach Southside!“
“I have previous Krav Maga experience from another gym and was looking to transition to a gym that aligned more with my values and beliefs. I attended several upper level classes at Watchdog, as well as the cardio kickboxing classes and definitely enjoyed them. Those cardio kickboxing classes were super challenging and fun. The upper level classes were great as well, though I noticed minute differences in the Watchdog techniques than what I'd previously learned. I liked the Watchdog take on things, but had a hard time transitioning my style after having slightly different training for so long. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed the martial arts classes, and the instructors were as nice and welcoming as they were experts in the discipline. It reminded me of better times at my past gym, and I felt good whenever I was at Watchdog. Alas, by the time I signed up with Watchdog, I was burned out on the discipline, and I ended up canceling my contract. However, if I ever get the urge to do Krav again, Watchdog is where I will go. Definitely recommend.“
