My grandfather had a major spinal surgery to address traumatic fractures and he has been stuck in a restraint chair for six hours and counting. No one is responding to his call light to help him get out of the chair. He is unable to use the restroom, get a drink, eat, etc. He has resorted to calling out to passerby and every person has ignored him. He is diabetic and has no access to food or his medications. I’m an ortho physician assistant and have never seen such abysmal care. When he arrived, he was placed in a diaper and told to use it even though he is continent and able to ambulate with assistance. SHAMEFUL!!!!! NEVER PUT YOUR LOVES ONES HERE!!!!Uncle Update:Please pray for my uncle.I am utterly appalled at how some people in the medical field can be so ignorant and lazy! I will spare the details but the rehab center that my uncle was in was such a disgrace! It is by the grace of God that family had a gut feeling that he was much worse off than what the ignorant staff at the rehab said. In their words, "he was in no distress!" Family refused to believe this and requested him to be transported to a hospital. With only being in the hospital for a couple hrs, they discovered he had pneumonia and a bad UTI. Terrible place. I had to move my dad so the doctors there didn't refer him out for unnecessary surgery. The wound care doc, Dr K, owns one of the transport companies they use to send people out for referrals he makes. Every doctor and nurse who found out where he was staying begged me to get him out of there. Imagine taking your parent out to a doctor appointment and having the NP and their staff groan and advise you to get your parent out when they find out where you are. All of the negative reviews are accurate. He was there for 25 days and was absolutely failing to thrive. 1 day in a new place, he is up and walking.
