“One of my favorite places to go for yoga. The instructors are great and there are a variety of classes and times to choose from.“
“This studio is so lovely, warm, and inviting. The vibes are immediate feel good, with the authenticity of a spiritual center you would find in India! It’s the real deal for those interested in yoga beyond asana :)“
“I’ve been coming to uplift for almost 4 years and there isn’t a better place to strength train and get fit! Nancy and her team create an incredibly holistic plan based on science and technology for you so it takes the guessing game out of working out. If you follow the plan you get results. The trainers are so great and I’ve made some incredible friends.“
“Candy was a great instructor and her class was so fun! Perreo pilates was a great workout and so much fun! Great for all levels of experience, definitely can't wait to do it again“
“Love the vibes at this studio, very chill and welcoming! Yoga is not my bag but they work with every level and make it the process of starting easy. Also if you haven’t by now… TAKE MANA’S CLASS cus she’s the best. Tell her Coach Sergio sent ya ?In all honestly, her practice helps make me feel really focused during the class and in-tune with myself :)“
“I stopped in to buy some cbd at the other business in the room. Prior to that I took a mean fall and hurt myself bad. The ladies working hooked up ice and took care of me and I appreciated it.“
“Denita is one of my fav teachers like Marcia. Any time I see her name listed, I try to get her class. Her directions are perfect and her tone is relaxing and you really get a tough yet relaxing work out. Give her a raise“
““Yoga for new movers” is the cutest class! The teacher is very thoughtful and uses the class to create a nice space for babies to practice crawling and walking. The parents that attended were all very kind. The studio is beautiful and provided mats at no cost, which was a nice touch.“
“One of the first classes I took at Willow Street Yoga was with Joe Miller. and I knew right away that this studio was unlike any other. The teachers practice careful alignment, incorporate breath and meditation seamlessly, creating a space that allows for steadiness and ease, on and off the mat.“
“I love this little corner of self care. It is truly a huge component in my effort to maintain good mental health in a otherwise quite demanding life! The diversity of classes, affordability, ethical business model, social justice engagement are huge plus for me, but the variety of teachers is what really helped me make this place mine, finding my right class (depending on the week and how I feel). I am beyond grateful that this place exists in my neighborhood.“
“NiMaSte has been my go-to yoga and meditation studio for over three years. The warmth and level of instruction has been amazing! I found yoga but also a rewarding community at Nimaste !“
“A most amazingly wonderful place! Thank you for encouraging the arts in the Gateway Arts District!“
“I’ve been in DC since 2018, and Yoga District has been my studio ever since. I was so happy when they opened a location in my neighborhood. I love how inclusive the studio is and how affordable it is — I hated being forced to choose between my finances and my health at other studios.“
“I love Yoga district! I've been doing their classes since 2019, and they offer a wide variety of classes for various levels and in different styles. I've never had a bad class with them. My favorite teacher is Edgar, who's absolutely amazing and inspiring. He brings several years of experience with him, and his classes are always immersive, spiritual experiences! Thanks Edgar, and thanks to all the teachers in Yoga district!“
“The yoga here is top notch. Excellent instructors and the space is spacious and clean and bright. I do yoga in SF but whenever I’m in DC this is the only place I would consider doing yoga. Also nice that they donate funds to good causes, they have donation events celebrating Black History Month, AANHPI Month and things like that.“
“Great relaxing yoga session. Location is a bit small and dated with creaky floors. And price is a bit high for the quality at $14 / session + $2 for a mat. Should include mat in price and lower to $10 max. Other than this, it was great.“
“My first experience as a total novice joining a Saturday, Guided Beginners Class was welcoming, informative, and enjoyable. I'm continuing with private lessons to build my knowledge and develop a routine. Elsie is a wonderful instructor, especially if you are a beginner. I'm glad I began my yoga journey here!“
“Simply said, Kathleen Holmay's Core Yoga classes are the best! The breathing techniques, postures and poses which are taught in her soothing and patient manner encourage us to keep on moving. I don't think it is overstating to say that Kathleen's classes improve the health of our bodies and minds on a daily basis.“
“I am fortunate enough to have found this studio several years ago. The space is perfect: welcoming, cozy, clean, with tons of natural light, and skylights to look at just before you do Shavasana. Keith Moore is extremely knowledgeable, and his kind, gentle demeanor and corrections are mood boosting, so much so that you don't even notice what a demanding practice it can be!!! I like it so much that I take 3 different types of classes: 1) Led ashtanga, 2) Mysore and 3) Mixed-styles (with Cleo Kung) and I can't decide what I like best! They will work with you through health and injuries, making sure safety is always first. Try it out, you will LOVE it!“
“Gretchen is fantastic! I’ve been to Bee several times now and i only wish it was closer to where i live. Bee is the bomb! love it!“
“My three year old has a blast going and dancing. The studio is upstairs in the second floor. They are very interactive and, at least for the 2-3yr old class, BTATJ is wonderful. I highly recommend them.“

“I'd only done yoga once before so I didn't really know what to expect, but this place was great. I went for the accessible yoga class and was thrilled with the teacher and the class. I liked it so much I signed up for a month trial that day. The space was very welcoming, clean, and relaxing!“
