If live in the DMV or visiting while you’re willing to get a tattoo, that’s the place to go I promise it’s worth it. It’s pretty affordable depending on what you get.“

“I had my 2nd lobes piercing for the first time today by Maddie and she is AMAZING! Not only is she super skilled with her techniques, she is also a ball of personality!! My piercing didn't hurt at all and she really took the time to educate me about the aftercare. Also, the aftercare package (which is an optional purchase) is the CUTEST package EVER! It has an instruction card, their stickers, lollipops and a pack of Q-tips to help you take care of your new bling. It really goes to show that Maddie and the rest of the crew really care about their work even after you leave their shop. I can't wait to come back for more piercings with them! Getting an appointment was super easy. Parking was plentiful as well. I like that they have reserved parking spots just for their customers, but there is a small public parking lot within walking distance from their shop if you can't find parking.“

“Ray is a top rate artist and a really good guy, and is highly skilled in design, line work and exceptional at shading. I went to see Ray after a middling experience from a well-known DC artist for a full sleeve. Ray was able to completely transform my half-done sleeve to a true work of art that is seamless in flow. Prior, it was not well connected, line work was uneven and collapsing in some area and the shading was not cohesive.<br><br>Ray pulled it together completely and I absolutely love what he did. I recommend him completely and without hesitation. And for those that think you’ve got to go DC for a top end tattoo you don’t. Hit Ray up. He is the best in the DMV.“

“I made an appointment at Big City Body Art with Maddie and got my nostril double pierced. It was a seamless process. She walked me through everything, she made sure I was comfortable while piercing, and that I understood the aftercare and healing process. She was super friendly and professional and I would definitely go back to her if I want to get anymore holes. The place was set up beautifully and it was immaculately clean and straight, prices were pretty typical of the area and all of the staff was great.<br><br>I drove a hour to them, so if you’re looking for a reputable studio that does piercing, it’s worth the drive!<br><br>Thank you, Maddie!“

“In my handful of experiences with walk-in tattoos I’ve never felt as welcome or comfortable as I did at Jinx Proof! The team there works well together and did everything they could to accommodate a busy day of walk-ins. My friend and I walked in with several ideas apiece and were met with patience and not rushed in the least. This has not been my experience in the past, and I’m so grateful that Tad was available. Not only are our tattoos beautiful, but Tad left such a good impression on us I wouldn’t hesitate to book a tattoo with him!<br>They also have a nice selection of quality jewelry and my friend was able to get a tragus piercing from Andrea, which turned out perfectly as well!<br><br>Cleanliness: The shop is well maintained without feeling impersonal.“

“I’m from out of town and had to find a replacement tongue piercing (cause I ate mine by accident hush) and this was the only place close enough for me to get one. It’s a lil hard to find tbh but we walked into Michael while he was walking out and running late for something but he took the time out of his day to help me and put in a piercing for me even tho he was busy. I didn’t make an appointment or anything and I was so extremely grateful for this man!! “Me & my friends came in yesterday for nostril piercings. We were so lucky to have had Leo as our piercer! He was so calm and made us feel reassured when we were getting nervous. He walked us step by step through the entire process & made the experience super great. I wasn't able to catch the girl at the front desks name, but she was also extremely welcoming and answered all the questions we had. Overall, the experience was perfect. For my first appointment I found that the symmetry of the piercings between my two ears was a little off and contacted the artist to see if we could remedy the situation. They responded quickly and offered to fix the situation after some healing time.<br>Paola was both super patient in helping arrange this follow up appointment and was a fabulous piercer, making sure the second piercing lined up and that I was happy with it as well as talking me through the process.
