“I love it here!! Coming from experiencing the type of stylists many of us have. Several hours in the salon and a lot of it spent waiting. Not at Tre Shades. Trina has me in and out of there in 2 to 2 and a half hours. I love my hair every single time. She talks to you about your hair, asks what you like and follows up to see how the previous style lasted for you. Shia, at the front desk, is also very helpful and always reminds me when a special is going on that I can benefit from. Did I mention I love it here.

She did my hair and makeup and my mom's hair and makeup for my wedding. Throughout the entire process, she was just so fantastic to work with, from the very first email to the wedding day itself! Victoria was recommended to us by our photographer (Genevieve Leiper), and in addition to Victoria's incredible styling skills, it was a bonus that she worked so well with Genevieve to make the photos turn out even better. For background, neither my mom or myself typically wear a lot of makeup, and Victoria did a masterful job making us look and feel beautiful with minimal, natural-looking makeup. On the wedding day, Victoria also stayed with us throughout the photos (which we took before the ceremony) as we drove around to a few locations, and then changed my hair to an updo before the ceremony/reception. With a lunch reception, that meant starting hair and makeup just after 5 a.m., and the early start time did not phase her at all! When our timeline shifted a few weeks before the wedding day, she kindly agreed to arrive half an hour earlier than we had discussed, and she was so flexible and wonderful in the entire planning process and on the day of. While we were taking photos, she went above and beyond to help hold my bouquet during adjustments or fix my dress and veil. And I truly can't describe what an amazing job she did on our hair and makeup. She made me feel like an incredibly beautiful bride (and she made my mom feel like an absolutely gorgeous mother of the bride, too), and I am so grateful that she was my wedding day stylist. I can't possibly recommend her highly enough! She is a great person and a fantastic professional stylist, and you would be lucky to have her on your wedding day team of experts, or just to have her style you for another occasion!“

My hair usually doesn’t hold heat but when she does my press it lasts for weeks. I’ve gone to her for trim, 2-strand twist, silk press, moisture treatment and most recently a full sew-in, I have yet to be disappointed. As an added bonus when time is not on my side and I’ve had to have my toddler tag along she has always been friendly with her. Way-z is very personable and knowledgeable I can honestly say I trust her with my hair. Soon as my daughter’s hair grows out she’ll be in the chair next to me.“

It is more of a higher end salon. Expect to pay higher end prices, however, you’ll receive a higher end experience and quality of work.

“Highly recommend. I have a friend who is very trendy and fashion forward, and her hair looked fantastic so I asked for a recommendation (how I found Kris). I am not trendy and I don't keep up with things so I was a bit nervous despite asking. I've now been going for five years, and my hair has always looked fantastic after seeing Kris! I ask for "low maintenance " and she always delivers. I see her every 7-8 months (if not longer) due to the quality of her cuts. I'm moving overseas and asked for something that would really wear well over time, and my gosh did she deliver. This is the best cut I've ever received. My hair air dries and looks great. I just show up and when she asks what we are doing today I say "I don't know, I trust you!" And she has never let me down. Can't give Kris a higher recommendation!!“
