“I have heard that you are supposed to grow out of things like horribly bad skin well after puberty ends. Apparently, my face never got the memo and we have been in a constant battle ever since. We settled on doing the VI Facial Peel and despite being a little Oompa Loompa-ish for a couple of days and then peeling like a banana for two more, I am very happy with the results. With a follow up treatment of microdermabrasion, it has given me even better results. My face seems to have done a 180 and we are peace for now. With the help of Dr. Baltazar, I have a little more confidence walking out the door and maybe, just maybe, my face and I can finally call a truce.“

“Love the treatments offered here! However, I am altering my review after a disappointing incident. I spent $100 on a Noon starter kit that included an ampoule that broke and spilled out all the product making it unusable. I requested a partial refund on the kit. I was told that the only way any money would be refunded was if I drove to PV (30 miles each way) to bring in the kit to be examined. Even though the poorly manufactured ampoule no longer existed as I had of course thrown the mess away. The employee's attitude was rude and accusatory, as if I was trying to steal something. I will return for treatments but will never buy any of their products again since they apparently won't stand behind them for their customers.“

“I started coming to Koi Nails after trying two other highly rated salons in Ellicott City. At both salons, my gel/powder dip and acrylic nails broke or chipped within four days after application. The atmosphere at Koi nails isn't as luxurious or relaxing, and the decor isn't as stylish, but I get exactly what I want which is consistency and a beautiful set of nails that last for a fair price.

I see Tina for my acrylic nails. She's a perfectionist who also listens and advises. I've had to wait past my appointment time on occasion, but this is most likely due to her not rushing through her clients' services. She always checks multiple times to make sure I'm happy with the shape and length. She also tests the color before applying it to all of my nails. If it's not what I expected, she happily helps select another option. I love her!

In general, I've noticed that all of the staff seem friendly and have excellent rapport with their clients which leads me to believe they have a strong repeat customer base. It's a good sign when a client walks in and is all smiles as they greet their technician. I've noticed that no one has ever tried to up-sell services as soon as I walk in the door which, in my experience, a lot of salons do.“
